Ashpaw's ears opened up before his eyes did. Around him, apprentices were yawning and shaking the sleepiness off them, walking out under the first rays of daylight. What's happening? But outside he could already hear some chattering, and his question didn't need the answer anymore. Clan meeting. That's Sparrowflight, and I should go.. he thought while stretching his forelegs in front of himself.
He padded out of the apprentices' den, brushing lightly the bramble branches with his tail, trying not to take a last look at his comfortable nest. !It will turn cold by the time I'll be back, so I'd better wake up anyway.! he murmured with a scroll of shoulders. I wonder if Sparrowflight has gone yet to the Starcave? He' been so busy since he became leader. Ashpaw made his way among his clanmates and sat down in the center of the clearing, tail lashing forth and back in attempt to hold himself occupied. He didn't like waiting.
Hazelkit heard the call for a meeting and immediately darted out of the nursery, not giving heed to her messy pelt. Today was the day that she finally became an apprentice! Hopefully she got a mentor who was really good at fighting and let her do fun things, unlike many of the adults she'd met so far. At least Mudsplash had been willing to show them something!
The Siamese kitten was slightly confused as to why Sparrowdeputy was on the tree instead of Cinderleader. Did this mean she wasn't becoming an apprentice after all?! Hopefully not, otherwise Hazelkit would definitely throw a fit!

Patrolling with a purpose was a much more invigorating experience than the aimless wandering the tan molly had resigned herself to before her trip out to the Starcave. While she had usually come across the odd stray returning home in her meandering path, now she moved with a purpose.
However, her rapid stride along the border was interrupted by an oddly out of place scent of nursery... The faint milk-scent was an unwelcome surprise to Sparrowstar, and abruptly she changed paths to move towards whichever kit had managed to sneak past both their mothers and the guards. Pushing through the undergrowth, Sparrowstar paused as an unfamiliar kit came into view... That was not one of Thunderclan's children.
"Hello there young one," she meowed, green eyes sweeping around the area for any sign of this child's parents. "Where is your mother?"
Adder jumped, he saw a full grown cat, “Uh…my parents are-“ he broke off, “their dead” he replied, “am I in your territory!?” He asked, “I’m so sorry if I am a bother I will go” he murmured
Petalbee sat down off to the side, making sure to be close enough to the Thunderwillow to hear the leaders call
Curling her tail around her paws she flicked an ear and held back a yawn as she looked towards Sparrowstar
Mudsplash blinked and... suddenly a small kit appeared. They tried to remember the little one's name... Hazelkit, right? Agh, they'd get it right sooner or later.
"A battle move, eh?"They would tilt their head to the side, their tail flicking as they thought. "I suppose it couldn't hurt.. maybe you'll even be named my apprentice. All right, little one. Copy me."
Mudsplash stretched, giving their ear a little twitch. They would crouch down with their belly fur touching the ground, their paws maintaining their weight lightly. Their tail stuck out as they balanced, occasionally lashing.
"Alright. Copy this, little one. When you get it somewhat right, I'll get up and fix whatever you're doing wrong. The trick is to be patient- don't get irritated or agitated for doing something incorrect."
Hazelkit bounced excitedly as the warrior agreed to teach her a battle move. Finally, someone who wasn't stinky! "Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm gonna be great at it. Just watch!"
Her excitement was tempered slightly by the fact that Mudsplash was only showing her how to crouch, what kind of battle move was that, but maybe it would turn out to be something really cool.
The Siamese kitten crouched close to the ground like Mudsplash was doing, glancing now and then at the warrior to ensure she was doing it right. Hazelkit checked that her tail was straight, though stiff, and her posture was crooked. "Am I doing it right?"

Sparrowstar blinked once in confusion as the fluff-ball in front of her stated the loss of his parents like it was an observation of the weather before offering to leave. What in the stars...
"Well... I am very sorry to hear that," she stated, head tilting curiously as she observed this odd kit. "How old are you little one? How many full moons have you seen?"
Thunderclan had an abundance of queens... Perhaps one would be willing to take on an extra mouth to feed if she brought back this stray. She certainly wasn't going to leave them out in the woods for the nearest predator to find.

A thread of relief forms in the young tom's mind, though the only thing that flashes through his eyes is pain as he stands haggard and pitifully in front of Sparrowflight. She told him her name- but more than that, who she was.
The leader.
Crocus sniffs, remaining where he was as a show of clear submission to whatever she would do to him, and Sparrowflight continues to speak. "I- I didn't mean to...!" the tom stammers. "I'm so s-s-sorry..." But when she asks him if he wanted to go home, to those upwalkers who abused him, he flinches visibly. "N-no! Don't make me go back! P-please!"
Crocus lifts his head as he cries out, body shaking tremendously. "Take me with you! I don't want to go back... They- They...! No! I-I'll do any-anything for you, f-f-fight, or wh-whatever you a-ask...!"

The spotted tom awoke as he heard his leader's yowl. Scrambling to his paws, he dashed over, excited. He only been a warrior for a moon or two and he was excited. Attending a meeting as a warrior. He was no longer peachpaw. He was Peachleaf! He sat down, twitching his ear. Clan meetings were always a mystery to him.
Rosepaw felt a mildly unpleasant feeling of nostalgia in her stomach. New leader. New first meeting. New disaster? Old trauma dies hard. Even after moons of adulthood, her chaotic childhood haunted her. She avoided meetings because of that but she knew she couldn't go on longer.
Though not particularly close with Cinderstar, she felt the loss of her, mostly with fear. She was the leader that kept them all together after... everything.
Goldleaf got to their paws, looking around for their family. They liked their littermates and parents. They walked over to where they saw everyone. They sat down near them, purring happily. "Hey guys!" They mewed happily, tilting their head. "I wonder what this meetings about, y'know?"
