Hollow windchimes rattled with a ghostly song as the destruction drew him in. Bones, rotting flesh, and more surrounded him with every step. He had to jump over piles upon piles of rubble, climbing up a steep hill that grew more and more lively as it went on. Once he reached the top, he stopped, his jaw hung open in surprise. Carmen couldn't believe it. Upon the other side of the hill, a large factory produced food made from the rubble left on the abandoned towns, scooping up every little bit and making it seem like food. Everybody was too absorbed in their electronics to notice. He had to tell someone, but nobody may listen. Or should he keep looking?

Carmen shrugged off the burning itch to tell somebody and crept on. His eyes trailed along the steep drop it took to get to the factory, looking for a different option. Alas, many feet away, a second trail led towards the piping in which was used to distribute the food. Biting his lip, Carmen moved towards it, his nose scrunched as the scent of chemicals, decay, and flames drifted to him. He shook his head and forced himself to keep moving, even as the threat of being trapped, caught snooping, or even killed by the foul atmosphere. His lips opened to allow a shaky breath through, his heart pounding with fear. Then...
