``Uh...`` She said nervously and stepped back, ``E-Erm....`` She looked a him, thinking of what to say, Is he faking? Or is he seriously going to kill me!? She thought to herself and she knew a little bit of her fear scent escaped her.

Buck smelt the fear scent that Minty gave off and backed down, "oh," he mewed, "I'm so sorry. I- I didn't mean to scare you." 'Oh no, not again' he thought to himself, 'why do I always scare cats like this?' He turned away from her to hide his face while he thought about what he was doing, 'is it my tough act? It's always worked for enemies... is it just part of who I am now?' He accidentally gave off the scent of fear whilst turned away, hoping that she wouldn't notice.

She smelled a little bit of Buck's fear scent, What is happening?! Is her afraid now? she wondered to herself, ``N-No! I'm sorry, it's me. I thought you were serious for a second.`` She gave a awkward and nervous chuckle and managed to give him a small smile, her fear scent vanished and returned with amusement.

Although he still gave off a scared scent, Buck grinned at her, revealing a little nick under his chin. "I... I haven't," he began, as his pupils started to widen, "really known anyone as friendly, I guess." He was lost in thought, but he could only remember so very few things about his old friends. Buck then shook his head and tenderly got up, hesitating to move past her. He slowly lowered his head and started to slink away from Minty... worried that he might startle her again.
