Rose nuzzled up against her litter mate. His green gaze went off of the new cat to Rose, “What’s wrong? Concerned that we will be here forever. I don’t think we will.” Ain easily read the ginger shecat. Sparrow stretched out and ran into a circle, Kestrel stood, walked over, and watched.

Peridot stared into space for a little bit, until she looked at the new cat. "New cat...here...freedom...want freedom..." she murmured. She shook her head and studied the others. "Freedom...want....frEEDOM!" she yowled the last word, shaking. The number 72 stared out from its place on the tag upon her collar. "Want...FREEDOM!" she dug at her corner uselessly.

Briar flicked his ear towards the conversation behind him.
Well, we'll be here forever if we don't have a plan to escape! he thought, agitated. He didn't say anything though; he didn't want to move from the gate. He was also vaguely aware of a cat watching him.

Larch heaved himself up. Deciding not to bother with the new cat for now, he plopped himself next to Peridot, noticing she was sitting alone.
Unlike the others, who are at least going insane with company, he thought dryly.
"Hey, Peridot," he mewed.

Kestrel picked up the small shecat and placed her near Rose and him to keep an eye on the odd tabby. Ain noticed Briar, “It’s rude to listen onto conversations new guy.” He purred.

"I didn't say anything," he retorted, not turning away from the door, only glancing at the others from the side. "And my name's Briar."

“You don’t have to say anything to listen, Briar.” The tom purred more. His tail swayed. Rose and Kestrel were pinning Sparrow while she squirmed.

The red tom flattened his ears and turned his eyes back to the gate.
"Okay, fine. So who are you? Er, what's your name?"

The white tom smirked, “The name is Ain. We haven’t gotten a new cat here until you showed up.” He started grooming his tail, “I wonder why every cat freaks out about being here, we’ll be able to leave soon. Atleast I hope.”

"We'd better," Briar growled; He wasn't angry at the cat, but rather the situation he was in. "So can you tell me about this place? That other cat- Onxyia, I think her name was- well, she wasn't much help."

“To be honest I don’t know much about this place. It seems whenever a cat goes fully insane the two legs take that cat away. It could be the two legs are taking us here because we are supposed to be kittypets, maybe we are just mice to them. Who knows?” He sighed, his purring stopped. He signaled with his tail. Rose, carrying Sparrow was the first to walk over, Kestrel was second. The ginger tabby seemed impressed by the new guy, Ain spoke, “Rose doesn’t he look just like you?” He purred once more.
