Kaela tied her apron aroung her waist, kissed Jesse on the cheek before he left, and turned to her pets. She fed the pugs and put Queenie into a cat carrier, also grabbing her food. She turned on the radio for Viva and Otis and picked up the carrier, got in her car, and drove to the coffee shop.

Jesse walked down the beach, trying to relaxing. "Maybe I'll try something more fun this year! Like take one of my classes to spend a day at the beach! Heh, that will happen when I get more money." He said. He sat down in the sand, feeling the water retreat from beneath his feet. After an hour, he got up to go visit Kaela at the coffee shop. He had to stop at the house to change first.

Kaela parked in the coffee shop's back lot and walked in, carrying Queenie's cat carrier. She took a little hairnet and stuck it over the fox's ears, folding them back. She then put a padded brace on her shoulder and let the fox jump on, then walked out into the bustling coffee shop. She stood behind the counter and prepared people's drinks, the children petting Queenie and the adults asking about how Kaela had rescued the fox. She smiled and answered their questions as she prepared drinks.
