Canary stepped forward, facing her leader. “I’ll do it.” the head warrior barked, a tiny growl in her voice as their always was. She quickly walked away, bumping purposely into another wolf, and not saying sorry. I should be alpha, not that brainless idiot. She thought to herself.

Shrike narrows his eyes. "Echo, please see me in my den after this." He leaps off his stump, heading over to Sparks to teach her how to construct the den. "You ready to begin, kiddo?" Shrike laughs at Junco's enthusiasm. "You can help Angel with the wall, she'll show you how to do it."

Angel shook her head, eyes alight with laughter. The Delta grabbed a thick branch and gave it to Junco. Try breaking it in half, she ordered.
P.S. Junco wouldn't be able to break it, considering he's a pup and Angel is full grown, where she can snap it.

"Thank you, Falcon," Shrike says. "You can get started on the Warriors and Hunters' den." He turns back to his apprentice, ready to show her how to build a den. "Ok, so first you build up a foundation of tight packed dirt, like this," he says. Shrike digs up a small mound of dirt, packing it tightly together to keep it compact. "Then you just extend that back and create the outline of the den. Wanna try?"

Shrike nods, a smile playing on his lips. "Good. Now you gather branches and twigs and weave them together." He goes into the woods behind the camp, searching for suitable sticks. He finds a few and returns, sticking them in the dirt mounds and weaving them all together in an intricate pattern.
