"thats good, bring your back paws in closer but other than that you have it down" pine said looking at Anastasia. she enjoyed teaching the young cats and was exited for when she could teach her kits. "ok courage next. take what ive told the others and use it"

Courage was, admittedly, pretty excited to learn how to hunt. He tried out his hunting crouch, but his large size made it hard for him to get down as far as Sunrise or Anastasia. He wasn't really that good at it.

" thats good if you cant go lower then bring you back paws farther up and dont let your tail drop because then it will make noise." pine looked at the cats " you all did good now try catching something theres a mouse take what i told you and use it. sunries why dont you go first"

Sunrise squashed herself to the ground very abruptly, and held her tail stiffly behind her. She crept forward slowly, putting one paw in front of the other until she was close enough to leap. She leapt towards the mouse, but her back paw slipped as she went up, and she came crashing down in the dirt. Sunrise pulled herself back up and shaked off the leaf scraps clinging to her pelt.

"that was a good try, try not to push up. push out and up also be aware of whats under your paws. try again and this time you try to find a mouse or vole" pine said calmly.

"Maybe we should move somewhere else," Courage points out. "The prey around here probably heard us by now."

"well let sunrise go again and then we can move a little bit" pine said acknowledging courage. "what do you smell" pine could smell a vole but wanted to see what sunrise would say

"the mammal is a vole why dont you try to catch it" pine said pointing her tail to where the vole was "voles can be a bit faster than a mouse" pine warned
