Copper saw a rabbit hopping along. If she brought back a rabbit, then it would replace ten of his stupid mice. She crouched down, rabbit scent filling her nose. Oh yeah, it was as good as hers.
They would have to share it, but at least she didnt have to fight anyone for a bite like back at home.

At least Mom did one thing right. She thought, picking up her catch.

He cocked his head and swallowed. Something wrong? I can tell you're thinking about something. he asked. He couldn't help but feel concerned for the she-cat. Despite his dry and sarcastic persona to strangers, he was actually quite compassionate and empathetic.
(Does Copper have a love interest? If not, could Slick fill it in? I just like having my cats in relationships for some reason . . .)
