For longer than any dragon remembers, it has been war. With countless dragons dying in constant bloodshed and endless fighting, nobody is safe. At this point, all anyone can do is stay alive. But some day, this might change...

History of the war
---
It all started long ago when the dragons of the Volcano region banded together and burned the villages of humans, killing the protecters and collecters who owned many dragons. In outrage, the Forest kingdom attacked, but was burned to the ground. Many persished in the flames,and those remained fled to the Jungle and Alpine kingdoms. (To be added to, edited 2/13/17)

A bright pink dragon hopped nimbly through the rainforest, watching the trees above her warily through bright blue eyes. Avem-Cor found herself wandering towards the Volcano Kingdom. Mustn't go there, she chided herself--the queen did not need to go get herself killed on accident.

Shutterfatch skimmed along the jungle canopy, translucent wings reflecting the soft shades of green. His red-tipped tails wavered before him.

Coral leaped into the air and dove down, his wingtips skimming the surface of the Coast Kingdom's turquoise waters. He smiled, remembering his time as a child swimming and flying here. His mother was the one who had predominantly ruled the kingdom before, so he had plenty of fun memories with his father, but...
Not so much Queen Angel. She was too busy planning war strategy to pay attention to her son and husband. Now, after she died in the war, Coral was left to step up and take the crown. Now his aunt was pushing for him to find a mate, his father wanted him to avenge Queen Angel, but he just wanted peace. As he thought of peace, he skimmed the surface of the water, careful not to touch the alpine territory nearby.

Luni-clem felt her egg crack a little, could hear the shouts of dragons attacking other dragons. The little sunrise dragon whimpered and curled into a ball within her egg, hopefully safe from the world.

Somn glided through the trees at breakneck speeds, headed towards the alpine region where he knew he would also be able to flee to the coast. The young dragon broke out of the trees and, almost instantly, slammed into a larger dragon. A older, male dragon. Oh no. I crashed in to king Coral! he thought fearfully, re-collecting his small cloud which had scattered into pinkish piffs. "S-so sorry, Sir," he stuttered.
