Dawnwhisper had heard Snakehearts call, causing them to follow quickly with the others. Slinking along behind the others, Dawnwhispers gaze searched around themself as they listened for the next instructions.

Grumbling, Fiercepaw padded after Snakeheart out of camp and towards Firefly Cove.

Vinepaw shows up. She felt awful. with tensions on the rise, it wasn't a matter of if, but when the next death would be. she needed this.

Stormtalon knew it wasn't a good idea. His shoulders stayed raw, barely functioning for exactly this type of reason: he found work to do and did it regardless of what was beneficial for the healing process. Still. Doing nothing was unbearable now, particularly with the newfound demons in his head always wanting to chat when things got quiet or he wasn't distracted enough -- so when Snakeheart called? The tabby approached (only a slight limp visible.) Willing to follow, willing to hurt to keep a less physical pain at bay.

Now this? Wormbite could do. It was familiar and would keep his mind busy. He was grateful for the distraction. Not to mention that with everything that happened over this piece of land? Wormbite was determined to keep labeled as Riverclan's. It wasn't long until the oriental joined the growing crowd, following after Snakeheart and his lead to Firefly Cove. His tail hang low, eyes fixated on the ground while they walked.

It was ever pleasing to see the beginnings of a group form even if they werent very large in number yet. Snakeheart was sure more would come in time though, sometimes these things took a bit to get going and the medicine cat would happily assign cats to established groups or just create new ones should others show up. More paws working the more that could be done after all. What irked him though was that no one had volunteered to lead a group but Blizzardsky! Stars this was going to be a mess, at least some other cats said they'd be happy to assist in any manner even if they didnt choose a patrol they wished to lead in particular.

Arriving at the cove and letting out a long sigh paw rubbing his face in exasperation and tiredness Snakeheart took a moment to think and internally shuffle cats around to find the best groupings. It'd be a bit rough and the groups would need reshuffling later when the actual construction came around but this would do for now.

"Alright for now we have two groups each collecting a different thing before we can move on and start constructing defences! Brambles or briars (basically anything sharp and hard to get through that can create a bit of a barrier) and shells! Patrol leads will find and guide cats too these things and well ferry things back and forth until enough is gathered and I'll recall you all to assign groups again for the construction phase.

Splashleap @gs29513 ! I want you on shells. Given you did the shells along the border you probably know where all the sharp shells are already. Should be an easy enough task though, it's just shells and theyre not heavy. He sighed again before casting a dead inside worn down look at the other group specifically Blizzardsky. At least he couldnt mess this up too bad and this task was fairly independent so the other cats could function on their own for the most part.

"Blizzardsky @Zesty Mango if you really want to lead a patrol fine I'll let you but Sparrowskip @:Grimmlin: is your co lead and I trust him to have some sense here. At least your bulk will allow you to carry a good amount of brush back. If anyone has any ideas for defences or things we could do or use to make the cover safer and more protected please come and talk to me now and we can see if its feasible and if it can be done.
