Padding along the cliff, Deadmoon realized she might have an answer to Owlflight's worried question. The scent of blood rose from the ravine, tangy and with a hint of decay that indicated whatever had been down there had been down there a long time. She moved faster and faster, until she was nearing the pace she might use to chase rabbits, heading for the scent's source. When she found it, she immediately wished she hadn't. Down in the river, snagged on an overhanging branch, were two bodies. The tawny-red coat of a fox, darkened by the river water, and what looked to be a dark brown, although possible just soaked, cat, fur ruffled and skewed.

Turning, she called back to her patrolmates. I.....think I found their mother. Pausing and snuffing out the fetid air, she continued in a somber voice. She and a fox are in this gorge, dead. They smell all...decayed and stuff. she added, peering down into the ravine again before heading back in the direction of the others. If they wanted to drag them out that was their business, but she had no intention of doing so if it was avoidable.

ashclaw looked at deadmoon hearing about where the mother was he padded over peering down he saw the fox and the mother,* oh good starclan guide the mother please* he thought with a worried face he peered at the kit" the kit has no home we should take the kit to windclan and have twilightstar and fallownose decide" he replied to the others

Owlflight heard what dead moon just said,
"Dead..? The fox must have tried to kill the kit's mother, poor thing, well we can't possibly leave the kit here all alone" Owlflight spoke "what should we do? You think the father of the kit is still out there?"

Owlflight worried for the kit, they can't just leave it alone like this
Maybe bringing the kit to Windclan would be an option... she thought
"Or maybe we should bring it back to Windclan? Maybe Twilightstar would accept the kit?"

Finally returning to the others, Deadmoon mewed quickly I don't think any other relatives are around. It's only their scent, their mothers and the foxes, no other cats have been here except us in the past day or so. It seemed like the other two were planning to bring the kit back to Windclan, however forcefully they were willing to phrase the idea, so she mewed Yeah, taking it back to Twilightstar seems to be the best option right now. before turning towards camp, ready to head back, before asking Who's going to take them to Twilightstar? She thought Ashclaw was in charge of the patrol so he would probably do so, but if Owlflight had some desire to do so Deadmoon had tossed the idea up in the air. @silentstalk @Rabbiteye @Fenixwolf

"If you two don't want to, i guess i will" Owlflight said to Deadmoon "i'll just take the kit, show it to Twilightstar, ask, and see how it goes"
Hopfully twilightstar will accept this kit, or else, where would it live? And how? she thought, getting ready to gently pick up the kit

Ok, so they seemed to have reached a decision. The only question now was why were they still standing here, having made the decision. She knew she wasn't really the patrol leader, but Deadmoon took a slightly more authoritative tone as she mewed Well, since that's decided, let's head back to camp. before getting moving herself.
