Cinders slept, more soundly than ever. Her small meal had filled half her belly up, so she was ok. Her fur ruffled a bit in the breeze, but it helped her sleep.

It took him a long while, but when Thorn came back, he held about three deathberries in his jaws. He had to remind himself it was for the kit and that it wasn't food, but otherwise, he remained smart.

He placed the deathberries down and unsheathed a claw to slice his small victim across the cheek and he instantly pulled a shocked and apologetic expression.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Cinders!" he suppressed a distressed yowl and shoved the deathberries closer. "Look, I brought you something, I was going to eat them, but you go ahead! You're more hungry than I am, and you're injured!"

Cinders woke, with the scratch on her face. “ow…” she whimpered, but then she scented the deathberries. “Oh- thank you so much Mr.!” She purred, and ate them like a wolf. They tasted… odd…
“What are they?” She asked?
She swallowed each one of them,

Seeds and all.
As they began falling down her throat, her chest heaved. She choked a bit, and whimpered.

As they began falling down her throat, her chest heaved. She choked a bit, and whimpered.

I can't reveal what they are yet, she might force herself to throw up and run.

"They're chunks of meat I found in a twoleg's dump," he quickly said, lying. "Don't worry, they're safe. I had a few myself to make sure they were good."

Cinders choked again, and her claws unsheathed to drag themselves across the ground. Hacking, she whimpered. “I feel bad…”
Another choke, and blood followed from her throat.
Pain was piercing every part of her body, and she wailed.
“ Help!”

She swallowed them. Good. he smiled and gently rolled her over on her back and pressed his paw firmly on Cinders' throat. No more faking... all I have to do is wait for her to lie still.

"Can't do that, Cinders," he shrugged. "I have to put you out of your misery. What you ate? It wasn't from the twolegs. It was from a bush. More specifically, a deathberry bush."

Struggling weakly on her back, Cinders kept hacking. With Thorn’s paw on her throat, she panicked. “Please don’t hurt me…” she pleaded, walking his paw. She choked a couple more times, and a bloody cough soaked her muzzle. “Please…”


Cinders tried to choke the deathberries out, but she just caused more blood. Surely Thorn wouldn’t hurt her more… “Please don’t make it worse…” she whimpered. “I’m a good kit.”

"You hurt yourself... you chose death!" he hissed. "If you chose the other option for food, you would have lived."

Thorn's face turned into a scowl and he growled, "If you were a good kit, you wouldn't be out here with me. I'm only doing what I do best. Now choose: quick or slow?"

Cinders wailed, until she realized. If she kept talking to thus mean cat… he wouldn’t make the pain worse my clawing her! She Tried to claw and bite his paw.

“I hate you! You’re a big mean cat! I’m not hurting myself you’re hurting me!”

She teared, and the choking continued, Thorn’s paw only made it even more suffocating.

"Those words were always the last words my victim's said," he scoffed. "It's true, I'm a mean cat, but I don't harm any cat unless they help me towards my goal of getting back at someone."

He paused then continued, "You're a kit, and since you didn't choose an option... I'll make your death quick. Ready? 3.."

The tom began to count down and raise his other paw with claws unsheathed, he had been waiting for the moment until his claws were stained red. Quite honestly, they were beginning to get that way with all the murders he had done. This would be his fourth kill. Russet, Shadowscar, Dustclaw... hope you're all watching. Blame Dawnstar!
