Re: Out of the moors and into the streets

Oh no. Oh no no no no no no. That was a mistake. She was coming towards him and it was too late to tell her to turn around. "Wait!" But there it was, the sounds of a scuffle alerting him that she had been taken as well. The more he struggled, the more it hurt, and eventually he went limp. What felt like hours later the bag, which had been set on the floor and was jiggling around, opened, and he was shoved into a box like the one the cat he had just freed escaped from. This was bad. Okay, okay, look on the brightside. Honeyfreckles here too, right? We can get out together. "Honeyfreckle?" There were rows and rows of cages, about half of which were full. All of them were inside of a larger box, which slowly started moving. His ears flattened to his head. They were inside of a monster.

“Beast’Paw! Are you okay??” She called, then yelped as the thing they were in started to move. Oh no. We’re in a monster, aren’t we…“There are so many boxes here… How many cats are in here?” She thought out loud. Upon closer inspection, she saw that only about half of the boxes were actually full, but still, that had to be a good amount of cats. I hope we can make it out of here…
(OOC: Sorry it took me a bit to respond, I didn’t see the notification! Luckily I checked since I thought it was weird how I wasn’t getting any notifications lol. Also sorry if the post if a bit sloppy, I’m running on 1 hour of sleep rn haha)

[Basically they are being brought into a shelter, I'll timeskip it after your post ]
Honeyfreckles response had his muscles relax, though he still couldn't see her. "There's a lot of them..." He trailed off, eyes wide as he looked closer at the piles and piles of boxes surrounding them. The monster gave another lurch and he tumbled forwards, slamming against the tendrils in front of him. Steading himself, he slipped backwards and sat down, trying to get as comfortable as possible. A couple minutes- no hours- later, the monster rumbled to a stop and his ears perked up. Where were they now? A wall of the monster fell away and he blinked at the light. A twoleg walked in, grabbing the first cage and walking out with it. The cat inside didn't react. More entered and more cats were taken away. He didn't see Honeyfreckle go, but soon enough someone was grabbing his box and bringing him out of the monster. He began to struggle again, rocking the box and catching sight of Honeyfreckle. Oh no. The twoleg brought him inside of a giant den, made of something unnatural that smelled of many other animals. This wasn't good.

She watched as Beast’Paw was brought somewhere with the other cats that were here, then hissed as the box she was in was picked up. Then she was brought in a huge den, and a million scents hit her nose. What is this place?

Re: Out of the moors and into the streets
@Peachy Wolf27
Timeskip ~ 3.5 months
Beastpaw lifted his head blearily, staring up at the grey bricks above his head. He'd stopped talking as much, devoting more time to thinking about his escape- scheming, might be a better word. He had gotten his cage moved next to Honeyfreckle's a few days ago, by a combination of being nice to twolegs and meowing at her. It was disgusting. It would have been fine, a little issue, but he wouldn't have minded much if he was here with one of his siblings, or even his mother, but he barely knew Honeyfreckle before, and here they were now, sitting in cages, plotting escape. He supposed it could work though. They could figure out how to escape together. Their current plan was compiled with what-ifs, which wasn't working well, but maybe, just maybe, something would happen. And today it did.
[*]Beastpaw was staring at the rabbit pellets he was supposed to be eating, purposely ignoring the Twolegs walking past his box. A loud jingling brought his head up, and the large tom stared into the eyes of a small twoleg as a second creature fiddled with some of the tendrils surrounding his cage. And then it popped open. It opened up- he was free. He turned to look at Honeyfreckle, just as the same thing happened to her. Oh stars, this was too good an opportunity to pass up. He turned quickly, making sure she had the same idea.
[*]Bald, twoleg paws reached towards him. "Go!" He ran for it, sprinting past the twolegs, and weaving past legs. Yes, yes, yes! The entrance to the den opened and he ran out into sunlight. "We made it!"

“Come on, the Twolegs will be coming after us I’m sure!” She shook out her fur, then slid behind a large blue box. “We should hide here for a moment until we can figure out where to go next.”

Turning to look back to see if the older feline had escaped as well only led to her speeding past him. This just kept getting better and better. "Alright, I'm coming!" The opening of the den flew open and a few Twolegs ran out. "We got to find somewhere to hide!' But she was way ahead of him, already calling him from behind a blue box. No wonder she was the warrior here. He sprinted after her, tucking himself behind the box and watching the Twolegs run past. They had actually did it. Beastpaw took a deep breath, tasting the clean air. Nope, the air was not clean. The tom started to cough, trying to get the taste of the Twolegplace off his tongue.
Twolegplace. He had known they weren't near their home, but he hadn't realized just how far away they were. Oh no.

“So… I think we should wait here for a few more moments, to be sure they are gone for now, and in the meantime figure out where to go from here. Any ideas?” She looked around. “We must be very far from home… Maybe we should go to a high place to try and see something familiar.”

He nodded and waited for the sounds of twolegs to die down before standing up. "That sounds good, maybe find the tallest den and look from the top of there?" His gaze moved from Honeyrfreckle to the dens, no, buildings surrounding them. Woah, they were pretty high up there. "Um, maybe we should find a cat? I don't know if I could get up there." That being said, he still wasn't sure how fiesty kittypets were. He'd heard they were weak, but there were more than a few stories about a clan cat getting beat up by a gang. At this point, maybe it would be a good idea to do some battle training. Just in case.

“We could try and find a cat, yes. Are you alright with that? It might take a while to find someone who is willing to help us.”
