Her eyes widened, that looked like it hurt...snatching her disc she knelt beside him "how bad is it? I'm sorry if I broke anything ... " she said . but it did feel good to win! Although she gave a small glare "were you even trying though?...now I feel bad..."

"Don't worry about it," Zed reassured her, sitting up. "I mean, it hurt, but I'm used to it. And believe me, I was trying. That was me trying my absolute hardest."

Paige approached the two of them, and waited for Vernal to notice. She didn't want to interrupt, but she'd been sent to bring the new recruit in to be repurposed. She hoped that Vernal didn't ask too many questions.

Skye's figure still shook, but her pulse was back to normal. "Only when I glitched... back when I was Pavel's servant..."

Mara and Zed both let out sighs of relief, almost simultaneously. "I'm so glad you're okay," the former breathed.

Sighing she gave him a hug "alright - " she was gonna continue talking but she noticed the commander . YES! THAT MEANS IM IN! pulling away "sorry- but I gotta go...see ya tomorrow ? " she asked.

Zed's circuitry flashed violet again, but he did his best to suppress it. "Y-yeah-- see ya tomorrow!" He waved to her as she left.

"So the reports came back, and... they want you repurposed," Paige said reluctantly as Vernal approached. "You can still choose not to join, just so you know."

Still finding no problem with it, obviously blinded by her own ambitions. She narrowed her eyes a bit "I said ill join and I will. I'm not afraid of some repurposing. " Vernal said with a lift of her chin.

Paige felt a little conflicted in the matter-- it wasn't an entirely comfortable process, especially if the subject resisted. But Vernal wanted this, she convinced herself. It's fine. You don't have to feel bad about it. Trying to appear professional and... upbeat, despite the looming reality that was nearly upon the two of them.
