His stomach still churning from the smell, Bumbleflight sat idly by as the apprentices announced their presence and prey to the whole of the camp, and the warrior silently hoped some other cat would take the fish so he wouldn't have to. However, he caught Ashpaw's so called innocent gaze and met it with a glare of his own before pretending to ignore him, instead facing Flamepaw and also ignoring the fish.
"It'd be best to bring that to the nursery or elders' den, no?" He offered, looking around camp to the aforementioned dens. "Those'd be your best bet to bring prey to, at any rate."
He hadn't been up to much, admittedly. The young cat was sitting around, watching the others in the clearing. He didn't know why everyone worked so hard, why there was such a sense of urgency. Every day.
His attention is captured when someone says his name, and a slight prickle of apprehension runs up his spine as he looks at the one who said it. Being summoned felt...
His mind wanders to places better left unmentioned, and after another heartbeat of wariness, he ducks his head low and begins to creep closer, widening his eyes in caution as he gets nearer to the older tom, whose voice traveled too well. "Y-yes?" the apprentice stammers.
~Moosecrash~
As the little cat came up to him, Moosecrash put on his friendliest smile. Crouching to be eye level with the apprentice, which ended up being basically laying on his belly, the Maine Coon gave a warm blink of his hazel eyes. "Hello Crocuspaw. I don't think we've been properly introduced. I am Moosecrash. I was wondering if you might like some hunting training?" He asked, lowering his volume as much as he could so his deep voice wouldn't bellow across the clearing or hurt Crocuspaw's ears.
Ashpaw (he/him) Light grey tabby with blue/grey eyes

The team had spent more time at Sunkissed Creek than Ashpaw had first thought. His whiskers twitched in satisfaction. That means I've had much fun! He turned his pale grey gaze to Flamepaw. The orange apprentice looked bright, and he thought that she must be very pleased for the afternoon experience. He kept on trotting behind her familiar shape, tail high, not really paying attention to the ground and what lay on it.
As soon as the three cats passed through the fern tunnel that marked the entrance to Thunderclan camp, Ashpaw hurried to call the other clanmates who were present around at that moment: "Hello, we have come with a new surprise! Flamepaw and I brought you two fresh minnow straight from the stream!" He exclaimed cheerfully with a strong tone. Suddenly he realized that his voice had deepened in the last months, and his body had enlarged along with his muscles under the tabby pelt. He was becoming just like a real warrior, at last.
Ashpaw didn't miss to throw an innocent gaze at Bumbleflight, who was evidently pretending to be distracted by some invisible force somewhere around him. Before addressing him again, he came closer to Flamepaw and brushed his flank against hers, purring with pleasure. "You were a really good teacher today. Thank you for everything!" he smiled warmly, his heart softening as her gaze met his.

The Marbled Tomcat Was Padding Into Camp,His Eyes instantly Locked onto Whatever Ashpaw and Flampaw. "Ashpaw! Flamepaw! How's it going. What Did Ya Catch Today? The Black and Ginger Tomcat Padded Over. He eyes Drawn To The Small Fish. "How did you Catch Those?! They are So Small, Are They From Sunkissed Creek, Or Are You Secretly Riverclan Cat. He Jokingly Questioned The Tomcat.
Charcoalpaw Gave Them Both a Smile, He Normally Wasn't Good At Talking to Older Cats But This Time, It Had Gone Surprisingly Well. His Light Amber Eyes Scanned Over The Older Tabby. Maybe He was A Secret Riverclan Cat, Who Else Would Go And Fish? Thunderclan caught Land Prey? Right? Maybe He Was Still Learning and Stuff.

Settling down on the left side of the clearing as she countered the chilly weather with cuddling herself up in her sleek fur. Faintly searching for her kits and mate in the crowd of acquaintances. She heaved as her nose felt numb. She didn't really do well against the cold. With short fur she wouldn't be able to go against the tides of Leaf-fall coming in.
She wondered how Thrushfur was doing as of now, his fur was soft and cozy. It was like a birds and warm like a nest. She gave a small sweet smile at her sheepish thoughts. She craned her head to look up at Sparrowstar who has called the clan once more. Sometimes she wondered why leaders would call out their clanmates in vicious weather like this. She scowled as she muttered silently under her breath. "It's freezing.." Her teeth felt senseless as she chattered them due to the cold. Biting her bottom lip to fight quietly. I suppose leaders are strong enough to fight against the cold, they must stand up and look brave for their clan.. as they should. She hesitantly looked up and switched her gaze towards the deputy, Copperfire. His pelt seemed to be missing patches of fur, she couldn't even think about how he must be fighting against the odds. Wordlessly she sat there in deafening silence. Hoping for the meeting to begin as quick as it could.

Weaselpaw trotted into the sandy clearing, overlooking the crowd of cats that have already gathered together. His eyes swept over a few familiar faces. Silently creeping over to a place to sit. Though he pretended that the chilly weather didn't brush against his flank, of course, if his pride didn't take over that wouldn't be the case. He didn't realize that he was seated next to the silver tabby queen, staring aimlessly somewhere in space. Looking up at the Thunderwillow, to see Sparrowstar and Copperfire right in his view. Sometimes he wondered why Sundust didn't join upon the Thunderwillow like the rest.. is it because he's busy frantically bundling herbs all day long?
He heaved sweeping those thoughts away, turning his head towards the queen who he realized was just a few paw-steps away. He flinched then relaxed his spine. Building up a conversation with the clear who seemed to be struggling a bit. He quickly accumulated his fast thinking to spark a conversation. "How are you doing Quailfur? Has the cold frosted your paws?" She did seem to be struggling alot, he blinked.
The older apprentice noticed the she-cat out of the side of her vision. Wasn't that the cat that was talking to Willowpaw? Maybe she should ask. "Berryspot right? If I remember correctly, you were talking to Willowpaw at the gathering?" She asked, her and the ShadowClan apprentice we're friends, and they talked a bit, they had spoken about Berryspot a few times in her adventures at the gathering, Dawnpaw still had yet to go to one so she was pretty excited to hear what happened, it was cool that her friend met another cat from ThunderClan other than her.
Berryspot smiled at the approaching apprentice. "Yes, I did happen to meet them!" She purred. Meeting Willowpaw truly was a great experience, and she was glad to meet another apprentice that might be like the young ShadowClan cat. "What might your name be?" The tortoiseshell molly asked politely, keeping her gentle yellow gaze on Dawnpaw.

❝ GOOD MOOOOOORNING!! Are you ready to complete your contractual obligations? ❞
A low growl echoed in her throat as the gnawing of her teeth against this cursed two-leg contraption seemed utterly useless. She barely registered the soft declaration of love between mates, instead focusing all her efforts towards freeing this young warrior from their brush with death. But the stars have other plans, no matter how much the living protest it.
As Brightpath stilled and Cloudyflight began to wail, the tan molly seemed to deflate slightly before drawing a short breath and pulling back. Her muzzle was bloodied; a combination of Brightpath's life essence and her own as the wire nicked her gums in her last ditch effort to save the young cat. She would not attempt to draw Cloudyflight away from her mourning, but she offered a brief touch of her tail in sympathy before stepping back a few paces while Rosepaw spoke.
It certainly seemed like their generation of warriors were the bearers of more misfortune than those around them, however Sparrowstar refused to believe that they were all doomed to be taken back to their ancestors before their time. To put weight on such a notion would be too cruel a sentence to live with.
"None of you are too broken to stay here," she rumbled, voice low as she attempted to clean the blood off her muzzle and stem the rising anger that threatened to breach the stoic walls she was hastily building up as she surveyed the bloodied clearing and the bodies of her clanmates. "They are sure to be welcomed into Starclan as honorable warriors; not as cats who simply allowed themselves to wallow in their circumstances, but ones who fought for and changed them... And please take a look at Bumbleflight when you can. I have no wish to loose anymore warriors today."
Rising to her paws with a frustrated sigh, Sparrowstar padded over to Wildspark's still form and dragged the nest he was resting on closer to Brightpath's body.
"They need to be cleaned and mourned properly before they are taken to Willow's Rise," she stated, not directed towards anyone in particular but speaking the notion into the open clearing nonetheless. A pause as she focused on breathing. In and out. You aren't allowed to explode just yet.
Finally, deeming herself as ready as she could be she raised her head and called out with a clear voice, "All those who wish to say their final goodbyes, gather in the clearing!"
She was a mess. Bloodstained muzzle, mussed up fur... If the stars could give her some respite rather than further challenges that would be wonderful...
