Splashpaw
Splashpaw sauntered over.”Hey, what’s up?” she asked her fellow apprentice. “It’s a nice day, isn’t it?”

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Slatestripe felt a harsh pang in his chest as he saw the distress on Pikestar’s face. The small warrior watched as the leader’s partial gaze swept over his bickering Clanmates. Even though Slatestripe knew most of these cats were only trying to defend Slatewhisker’s honor, he could still understand why they weren’t helping Pikestar’s situation.
At Pikestar’s announcement for Slatewhisker’s burial, Slatestripe bounded forward. He stood close to the leader, ready to help carry the body if need be. “I’ll be happy to offer whatever service I can,” he told Pikestar, voice a little raspier than usual.
Clearing his throat, Slatestripe turned toward his Clanmates. Eyes narrowed, he said, “We all are under a lot of stress right now. It’s apparent to me that most of you are trying to help by defending Slatewhisker’s honor, but what we all need right now more than bickering is to support one another. If you have an issue with some cat’s behavior, take it up with them privately.”
His voice rang loud and clear. He lifted his muzzle, allowing a degree of anger into his voice as he added, “If any cat feels they can’t attend Slatewhisker’s funeral and behave, then do us all a favor and stay here. Funerals are a time for quiet grieving.”
He hoped he wasn’t overstepping his boundaries, but it seemed Pikestar needed someone to support him right now.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Hazelspring acknowledged Pikestar's words with a flick of his ear. Hm, a burial. Good. Their deputy deserved a proper funeral, and one with quiet grieving. And that meant that Hazelspring would stay behind: he could pay his respects another time, but for now, he wasn't exactly enthusiastic to be around so many emotional cats at once. Perhaps it would've been better to have just stayed in the warriors' den.
Without a word, the small warrior walked over to the entrance of the camp. He wouldn't join Slatewhisker's funeral, but he could bid her a final farewell when they would inevitably take her to be buried. For now, Hazelspring would remain behind and perhaps keep an eye on camp: after all, it seemed a lot of cats would go for the burial, and it would be a bad idea to leave the camp unguarded. Perhaps he would step in if emotions got too high at camp as well, though he'd rather not: he wasn't the greatest with emotions, nevermind dealing with emotions of others.
Curling his tail around his paws, Hazelspring offered a small nod and scanned the camp with his sandy yellow gaze. It was a time of grieving, not chaos. If anyone tried to cause more trouble, he'd either shut them down with his trademark blank stare, or he'd go and try to calm the situation down. For now, though, he hoped that wouldn't be the case, and he could see the group of mourning cats off from camp.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Flintfang
The silver-furred tom was very, very concerned. And yet, he had no say in the reason why he was concerned. He had been immensely, entirely concerned when Fawnpaw broke out into a fresh round of sobs after her little outburst, confirming his earlier suspicions that there was too much burden being placed on the poor thing. If only. If only there could have been someone else there to help her out. He had barely finished thinking the thought when Cloudpaw, and his own sister Silverpaw, stepped up to comfort the young, sobbing medicine cat. And despite the sadness that had plagued his features a moment before, Flintfang’s heart felt light once more, even for a brief few moments. She would be okay. Fawnpaw was a strong apprentice, she would be fine in the end. She would need to pull through for a while longer, but Flintfang was entirely, wholeheartedly certain that Fawnpaw would be okay.
His smile threatened to grow wider upon noticing the way Fawnpaw sought comfort in Cloudpaw, and Flintfang’s own yearning for his beloved started afresh. Yes, Flintfang dearly missed his lover, but he would resist the temptation to turn tail and run from camp to see Raccoonpelt until this was all over and dusk had long since fallen. That thought suddenly reminded him of what a lousy, pathetic excuse of a brother that he’d been these past few moons.
When his younger sister began speaking, comforting the medicine cat with careful, loving words, Flintfang did all he could to remain at her side, letting the grey mollie know that whatever happened, he would always, always be at her side. Flintfang had been a uselessly unconcerned older brother as of late, but regardless, he would work twice as hard to spend more time with his last two remaining family members. After all, he didn’t want them to think they were being neglected. If Flintfang had known Fawnpaw better, he would have verbally agreed with Silverpaw’s statements, that she would never, ever be alone. But in the end, he found he couldn’t not say anything either, and gave the young apprentice his own, unfiltered opinion. “My sister speaks the truth. All of RiverClan cares about you and your happiness, Fawnpaw.”
Finally, the lean warrior turned his sage gaze and attention upon Pikestar, who undoubtedly looked entirely overwhelmed. Having been a minor cause of that, Flintfang found himself holding back an embarrassed wince. Here he was, shamelessly causing his leader extra, added pain. That just wouldn’t do. It shouldn’t do. Flintfang really had a lot of making up to do. He’d practically been neglecting his Clan because of how hopelessly gone he was for Raccoonpelt. Just thinking of the ShadowClan cat’s name made Flintfang want to flinch again. Stars sake, he was in love with a ShadowClanner! How would RiverClan react to that if they ever found out? Maybe… Maybe it would be best if he let Raccoonpelt go? But no, just the thought made Flintfang’s chest squeeze with pain. He couldn’t let the love of his life go, not so soon after they’d met. Shaking away these painful thoughts, Flintfang turned back to the task at hand.
“I’ll go with you.” He told Silverpaw quietly, resting his tail protectively across her flank. It was time to bury Slatewhisker, and Silverpaw, along with her troupe of friends, would need all the support they could get, even if that support came in the form of a very regretful Flintfang.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Has the storm finally passed? Cricketsting was lost in his own little world as he blocked the yowling from crawling into his ears. When finally out of his mind-world, he realized that the mourning was wrapping up and Pikestar stated that Slatewhisker will be buried. Watching the leader drag the dead body of a high rank made Cricketsting sick to the stomach. He almost vomited when he remembered that the body was ignored as a fight went between a cat with a hollow heart and others who wanted to mourn in peace. Is this really a life for him? Reluctantly watching deaths go by while traitors, attention-seekers, and chaos-causers enter the show to create unnecessary harmful things did not spell out “Clan life”. Instead, it spelt out something way worse, and it seemed that most cats cannot read the warning.
Sliding his eyes to the direction of the sounds of dragging paws, he spotted Littlepaw. Cricketsting saw the maw of the apprentice move, but he did not hear whatever she just said. Poor Littlepaw, she got to deal with what happened. Just like how Littlepaw wished good luck to everyone quietly, Cricketsting wished her good luck silently.
Getting up, he pondered if he should go to the Thicket for the burial. There are cats in here that needed some cheering, he thought. Finally, he decided to stay behind and listed some jokes -of course, jokes that don’t relate to death or anything offensive- that could be use to cheer up anyone who seemed down.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Mintpaw watched quietly from the shadows as the bickering gradually calmed down until only whispers run through the clearing. Pikestar's voice rang weakly from the center of the camp, where Slatewhisker's body lay unmoving. The deputy would be buried along with the other deceased clanmates. Today, the whole Riverclan would grieve for her.
The newly-made apprentice would probably he allowed by now to leave the camp in order to sit vigil with the rest of her clanmates, but the thought of going out for the first time with a dead cat scared her, especially without anyone he knew since Slatestripe was now busy with Autumnpaw.
She decided to remain in the camp and sit quietly for Slatewhisker, waiting for her clanmates to return from the Sleepy Thicket. Her gaze scanned the sky, imagining Starclan watching them from the far blue. Maybe, tonight we will see a new star above us.

@cainineantics
Sourpatch paddled forth, "i'm might not of know them very welll, but i'll glady help if i can, i'm very sorry for your loss Pikestar, and i wish it didn't happen....."
@ birdie (sorry for not replying earlier to your Darklight responce)
Sourpatch shoved Darklight away and scolded him "Darklight thats not helping at All! Oh fawnpaw, ignore that tom! he shouldn't be agreeing with hawkpaw! hawkpaw is way to reckless! and kinda disrespectful to... i'm sorry Fawnpaw that this happened to your Friends Slatewhisker, and if you ever need anyone to talk to about your grief, just know i'm here if you need me..." she said gently, giving the apprentice a gently lick on the head "i might not of known them well, but we all should still mourn for them before anything else, even if revenge seems necessary, because by mourning we show our love and appreciation of all Slatewhisker did for the Clan and for us. they might not be with us anymore but they'll what over use in Starclan and their memories will always be with us..." Sourpatch meowed gently hoping to comfort the Grieveing medinice cat... "i might not know you that well but you have a ton of Frieds and Family members that care for you, and they all support you, not matter what, they'll help you through your grief"

Re: RiverClan Clearing
STORMPAW
_____________ _____________
The molly looked at Pikestar for a moment, staying by Fawnpaw’s side. Her gaze then turned to Silverpaw, a tiny smile forming on her lips. Silverpaw seemed to be a good friend of Fawnpaw. Stormpaw was glad that there were so many cats there to help Fawnpaw if anything bad happened. Before she could avoid it, she staggered and felt her side brush Silverpaw’s. Oh god, that was embarassing. She hadn’t meant to come into physical contact with her denmate; her pawsteps were just a little wobbly due to the fact that she was still processing all of this. And she was still processing the way that she had gotten really mad. How come such words always came out of her mouth and she could never stop them? “S- sorry, Silverp- paw,” she mumbled. She felt like her whole face was bright red, although of course her fur was protecting her from that embarassment. Truth to be told, she really admired Silverpaw and the way the fellow apprentice acted.
