The tom frowned in confusion. Wildspark's dead? But..."Wildspark was there when I announced the patrols, he- never mind," He shook his head. Whatever he was going to say didn't matter now since the warrior was dead. Can't really do or say anything to a StarClan - or a Dark Forest? - cat, can he?
Three other cats being seemingly missing wasn't great either, but hey there was a chance they were alive, right? Because that's what ThunderClan needed. More mouths to feed that didn't seem to take their duties to the Clan seriously if they had decided to run away or something like that. Copperfire huffed quietly and flicked his ears.
The deputy was glad to hear that the warriors would be punished. It's even better that he'd be the one to dole out the punishments. His ears perked up in interest as he thought to himself, slightly amused, They made their nest now they can lay in it. I won't be forgiving, they've ruined their chances of an easy punishment by wasting my time.
And then Sparrowstar was saying praise. He strained his ears, but found no one else who could be listening in. Does this mean... she means it? Copperfire tried to keep the disbelief off his face and swallowed thickly around what seemed to be mimicking a mouse bone stuck in his throat. His hazel eyes hold Sparrowstar's green ones for a moment, before turning his head to stare at the ground.
"I'll make sure they regret skipping out on their duties, when I'm done with them the entire clan will hesitate about even thinking of neglecting their responsibilities," He responded as he met Sparrowstars gaze once again, voice and eyes carefully blank and serious. "I can forgive the apprentices since their only task was following the warriors they've been assigned to follow and doing their best to become warriors themselves. Since no one has reported back, I can't really tell how much the apprentices did or didn't do. Maybe I'll send them back out, but their punishments shouldn't be anywhere nearly as severe as the warriors'." Copperfire moved to leave the den, stopping just before exiting and turning back, "If you have any suggestions, I'd be willing to consider them. If not, we should get this over with as soon as possible."
Sage'bush walked in. "Hello, Sparrow'star?" she asked. @Jayvines
Brown ears perked up at the sudden intrusion into her den. A familiar voice, one she had just recently allowed back into the clan caught her attention.
"Yes Sagebush? What is it that you need?" she questioned, head tilting curiously at the warrior in question.

"Shadefur," she greeted, flicked some dirt of her paws as she turned to face them. "What can I do for you?"

This was why she appointed this tom as her deputy.
The ghost of a grin creased her muzzle as Copperfire took his time to register her praise before announcing his intended plan of action... Yes, she definitely made the right choice here.
"I will leave the details up to you," she hummed moving to follow behind him as he began to head towards the clearing. "However, I will offer a few words to each of the offenders following your reprimand. Presenting a united front should help our cause."
[ Feel free to make a post in the Thunderclan punishment thread calling all the impacted cats forward! I will make a follow up post once you do. ]

So, so soft. The feline was captivated by the tail, batting it back and forth with amusement. A startled snicker erupted from them when the tail brushed against their nose. They scrunched their nose up, sticking their tongue out. Blehhh!!!
Asterdance lifted their gaze, watching Bumblebreak spun about and oh, oh SHOOT!! He was leaping at them!! Successfully, the warrior landed on top of them, and they giggled relentlessly as their large ears were brutally attacked. "Noo!!! You fiend!! Unpaw me!!" They laughed in protest, thrashing about in Bumblebreak's grasp. A happy grin beaming across their face with excitability.
They were wiggle uselessly for a few moments before attempting to push themself off the ground and use their muscular build to switch positions with Bumblebreak. Rawr, if they were on top of him then! THEN!! He would be unable to defend against merciless tail attacks.

Cloudspots nodded. “Certainly, Sparrowstar. I’ll be sure to let you know.” At her question, he added, “I don’t have any other concerns at this time.” Fortunately! I would hate to bother Sparrowstar with more things. She’s probably got a lot to worry about already.
He dipped his head respectfully. At first, he wasn’t sure if he had to wait to be dismissed. Seeing as he hadn’t been summoned, he figured it was okay to just leave. “Have a nice day, Sparrowstar!” he chirped sincerely.
Fadingstar is currently RiverClan's leader. He has an open den policy; his den can be found here. If you have any questions or concerns about RiverClan, or any plots to propose, feel free to leave me a VM or DM! Please do not take my characters' IC opinions as reflective of my own.
Cloudspots was rather relieved the meeting had gone by quickly. At least he didn’t have to stay out in the chilly rain now. Shaking out his fur, to little avail, he retreated back to his sheltered spot. He privately hoped that ThunderClan would see many peaceful moons; he didn’t want to use his claws again for a long time.

The black and white molly forced herself to slowly walk back to ThunderClan. Every step was heavy, and the collar around her neck seemed to be very tight, having her in a chokehold. Tiny little thorns dug into her skin, coming from the collar. She just wanted the thing off. The scent of ThunderClan brought a little relief over her, and she quickly searched for a place to remove the collar. Her gaze was hollow and each pawstep she took required too much effort.
"...Tight..." she managed to choke out, squeezing her eyes shut. This was such a nightmare. "...Help..."
// hi there! apologies for the wait - i'll be having bumblebreak take on mistyshade's rejoining
>Bumblebreak<
A break from the hustle and bustle of camp was all that Bumblebreak needed right now. It was too busy, too loud - sometimes she almost missed how quiet it used to be, before, well, everything. So she took to wandering the territory, taking in the sights and smells, pointedly avoiding Firefly Cove and Willow's Rise for... well, several reasons.
She stepped over a dip in the dirt and an odd scent suddenly struck her. Twolegplace-ish, with a hint of faint familiarity, and very close by. On high alert, Bumblebreak surveyed the undergrowth, ears swiveling back and forth.
The brown and cream tabby caught quiet, choked words. She spurred herself in their direction, pushed through the brush, and- lo and behold, a cat she had not seen for several moons, seemingly being choked by her own collar. Bumblebreak cursed—Twolegs and their ever terrible contraptions—and hurried closer. The intentions this cat had could be dealt with after this.
She remembered how, ages ago, Ridgeclaw had hooked his claws into her old collar and allowed her to simply slide away from it herself, but this thing was far tighter, and there was no way that was going to work. "Great skies- here, tilt your head back as far as you can and I'll try to gnaw it off."

The trees created a dappled golden shine to the brown molly's pelt as she slips quietly between the undergrowth, closely flowed by her sibling. Blue eyes flicker behind her every so often to make sure Locus can keep up, though dread settles in Nettle's chest as she realizes where they are. A hushed voice comes from her as she turns to halt Locust who was following behind her. "I think I might be wrong but.. this smells like those clancats that Momma used to tell us about." A shudder passes through her, her anxiety rises.
"M-maybe if we just, ya know.. Leave, t-they won't bother us?" She stammers, forcing herself to stop shaking.
[ I'm sorry this is all over the place, I'm just tryna get this done ]
Rosepaw's ears shot up as she was adressesd. The small cinnamon tabby walked over to the new patient and looked at the injury. "No, I haven't, but I imagine all it needs is to be cleaned up amd some cobwebs, also marigold since toes touch the ground where all the dirt is. I can handle it" she replied. Honestly, Rosepaw knew how to deal with injuries pretty well. She didn't have much in the way of sickness but bleeding and infection were easy and bones were a weird specialty she'd acquired somehow. The bobtail was already preparing wet moss to dab the wound with.
