Augh. She'd been dreading this. Too embarrassed and too ashamed to face the fact that she'd probably caused the nursery some trouble for running off like a mad kitten. Especially in the middle of the night, where she should've just follow the rest of her siblings. But yet, she was here. Half pressured by Rainpaw and, the other half, by her own conscience. Rookkit had decided it would be better to say hello to Leopardsong, or at least announce to her officially that she's back. The dusky lilac kitten took a deep breath in before entering the nursery to find Leopardsong.
Petal stepped cautiously inside the nursery. Her belly was swollen with kits, and she hoped that Twilightstar would let her stay. Her first litter, Amber and Dandelion, had either died or run off, she came back to their makeshift den and they were gone. She hoped they would find her again. But for now, she needed a safe place to have her kitting. She hoped she would be able to stay, though. The camp seemed nice enough.

Hornkit's ears instantly perked up. "I'm hornkit!" he said, puffing out his chest with a big grin from ear to ear. He bounced over, sitting down next to the other kit.

"Oh...uh Hornkit...cool." Rookkit mumbled, trying to sound enthusiastic but her voice teetered making her sound a thousand miles away. She's not at all interested in making friends. It felt so unnecessary, but she doesn't want to be causing any trouble in camp either.
If it were back then, the dusky lilac kitten had no problems kicking any kitten without hesitation. But now, her apprenticeship is on the line, so of course, she had to be polite. "I'm Rookkit."
Her mismatched eyes stared holes into the other kitten, wondering if this conversation was worth entertaining.
Mink'Kit was settled quietly by the back of the nursery, giving her feathery kit-fur a good groom. The sun peered through the entrance, bright bursts of fire dancing in her eyes. It was far too noisy in here, and she wrinkled her nose in distaste, shuffling a little deeper into her nice 'n' cozy nest.
Mink wondered whether this would be worth entertaining, or if she should try and get out of the nursery. Sure, the queens kept a close eye on her despite the fact that she was none of their kits, but maybe fate would turn in her favor. Deciding on the latter, she quickly and elegantly strode towards the entrance, sticking to the sides of the walls. With one quick nervous glance back into the stuffy den, she peered out, paws warmed in the lovely, enriching sunlight. Her fur felt so alive and wonderful, and she glanced around, eyes sparkling.
Sure, the nursery lay behind her, but who knew what lay ahead?

Fallow'Kit stumbled into the nursery, her paws heavy from playing with the other kits of Windclan; she moved towards an empty test and sat down; her eyes were half closed as she prepared to sleep.
