Mountainmist was lying down once again, her tail flicking lazily. In the recent days she'd discovered something she realised might have an impact on her... and the rest of her life. She was pregnant. And she had a good idea of whose kits she was carrying though she wouldn't dare to voice it to anyone else after she'd had a long talk with that certain cat. Nevertheless she was looking for someone else that also meant a lot to her, her apprentice... Creekpaw. She adored that apprentice and he'd been a real joy to teach and work with. She had to tell him, it would just hurt him if all of a sudden, she just stopped being there. She would of course be around, but not in the same way a warrior would be able to be around. Spotting his grey and white fur, she pushed her self up so she was at least sitting up, and shook out her black and grey fur before calling him over, "Creekpaw! Can you spare a moment for your beloved mentor?" She let out a soft laugh at that but it was true. The apprentice did care for her, just as she did care for him and... it was what made this separation though never permanent hard for the hardworking mentor apprentice duo.

Walking across the clearing, he had heard from someone that Brindlejaw would be doing some sort of training for apprentices, which most likely had his and Elderpaw's assessment in it. Perking his ears and lifting his head, Creekpaw followed the sound to Mountainmist. His mentor. He loved this she so much, he would be devastated if she went missing or something like that.
Trotting over, he smiled, "Course! What's up?" He said in his usual optimistic attitude.

Boulderclaw's eyebrows flew up, "what in the name of starclan?" he murmured. He was right when he decided to keep his distance. Who knew if the kit was contagious! he heaved a loud sigh and bent down to roughly pick up the scrap of fur. Padding out of the nursery, he kept his face straight.

Crowkit limply hanged from the larger warriors jaws as he was taken out of the nursery. He had no idea who this warrior was but at this moment he was his saviour. Crowkit might never encounter this warrior again normally but as they moved out of the nursery he pressed an image of this he cat into his mind internally promising to do something to express how thankful he is, once he's not sick of course.

The tom was surprised that the molly sat down with him and started to help him create the crowns for the queens. He wasn't expecting her to stay, she didn't seem to be the social type. Lifting his gaze from the first crown the tom gave a nod. "Don't be sorry, there is no need to be." Brindlejaw completely understood what it was like to not easily chat with others. Picking up a strip of heather the tom started to weave it into the creation. She's a quick learner. Noticing how she watched the deputy and then slowly started to create her own.
Should he continue talking or be silent? The tortoiseshell still felt bad for running into the warrior and dropping everything. I hope that she doesn't feel obligated to make the crowns with me. Well, I suppose she'll speak when she wants to.

Boulderclaw padded into the medicine cat's den, wrinkling his nose at the bitter scent of herbs. He dropped the kit onto the ground and called out, "Coyotesnarl! Get your mangy ass over here!" he didn't want to stay near the medicine cat for longer than he needed to, so he decided to walk out of the den right after coyotesnarl appeared.

Crowkit laid there coughing at the rough drop but limp with relief, Coyotesnarl would be able to help! He'd have some herb that'd fix Crowkit and make everything all better! Unknown to him most of his weakness issue was just due to his lack of food and water for a little too long while having a fever and what needed to actually be treated would probably take a lot longer than the kit hoped. Still he shakily shifted to be laying in a better position and waited for the medicine cat.

Padding out of the apprentice's den, Creekpaw yawned. The days just kept on passing by again and again. Letting his tail hover just above the ground, he made his way over to the fresh kill pile, with quite ruffled fur. With bits of moss in it too as he didn't clean his fur from sleeping yet. Creekpaw had had a nice dream, very pleasant. Chasing rabbits with his mentor Mountainmist. Reaching the fresh kill pile, he began looking through them sleeply, staring a little blankly at the prey.

Eaglepaw paused for a moment and then realized it was a trick. He tried to move out of the way before Basilpaw landed, planning to then ram into her and hopefully throw her off balence.

Mountainmist let out a soft purr as Creekpaw came over and settled next to her. Drawing in a deep breath, she considered how she would address this... How did you tell your apprentice that you wouldn't be there for their last training session? The assessment that was the last passing grade? She didn't know... It would be harsh and hard on both of them. Yet she had to, had to.. because she couldn't risk these precious little things that was now resting within her. "Ya know. I talked with Brindlejaw earlier... And due to certain circumstances, I'll be joining the queens in the nursery soon," she patted her still flat - although not visible through the fur - but full stomach with a paw. "So I made plans that since you're now qualifying for your warrior assessment that you will be doing it with Brindlejaw and the event he's been planning." She really did wish she could be there for him, but it was no longer just about her. "I am so sorry I won't be there for you Creek, but you're ready and I know you can do well. And hey, at least this doesn't mean you're getting a new mentor, but rather you'll soon be a mentor yourself."
