"So, basically, fake me out, glide under me, then pop out from the opposite side, and deliver blows from there. That confuses your enemy, and you have the upper hand when you're smarter than them. Try it on me, but this time, i'll start to deliver blows to your muzzle, so be careful."

{ apologies for the slight delay in my reply <3 }
Reedpaw beamed brightly at the praise. He was doing so well! His confidence was mostly all on the outside, as he was aware of his not-so-graceful body that left him tripping face first at times. He would probably grow into it though, older apprentices always seemed much more steady.
As Cloudfluff called his attention again to the next move they would be learning, Reedpaw looked on with confusion as the fluffy she-cat stuck out her paw. Hadn't they just done that? Then, suddenly she slid through a bush, seemingly attacking it from the back. That was a lot to comprehend... could he really do that himself? Cloudfluff seemed to expect him to attempt, though... so he would. He would make her proud!
"Alright... this one seems tougher, but I'm excited to try it! Maybe I can even master this one quickly!" Reedpaw took a step back to gauge his distance. That was important, as the apprentice wasn't aiming to bring them both crashing into the ground. Once he felt ready... his time to strike came. Batting his paw in the air, he quickly went to slide under Cloudfluff. It all seemed to be going well, but he might've misjudged how much he would slide, as Reedpaw soon found himself crash landing in a nearby bush. Scrambling back onto his paws, Reedpaw knew he'd have to act fast. Lowering his haunches, he prepared to jump to make up for the extra distance. Soon launching himself into the air, Reedpaw braced for the impact, landing close enough to Cloudfluff to where he could get a good strike. This was his chance! However, his balance was not all there. The apprentice soon found himself dropping onto the ground instead of landing his hit. "Great Starclan, I almost had it too! That would've been so cool..."

A shadow clouded the vision, causing Cornkit to shake his head before it could dream up anything worse than a couple of mean words. Instead the little gray kit turned his attention back to Stagkit. "And here! Look!" Cornkit moved to a bug that he didn't see very often but still knew a bit about. "It's a stick bug!" He peered at the long twig like insect. "It looks like a stick so birds won't think it's food. Pretty neat trick huh?" He poked Stagkit playfully, surprising himself that he felt comfortable enough to touch such a new cat.

Stagkit nodded in confirmation, "Yes! Corn is strong, and clever and smart like Twiglight!" He didn't care he was saying the name wrong, at this point it'd become more of a joke between the kit and the leader. He was Parasite, she was Twiglight. And then he felt Cornkit's unease and the kit pressed himself up again the older kit. "Is Cornkit okay?" he questioned carefully. He wanted Cornkit to feel okay. Stag himself did not like being abandoned but now Stag had Corn so Stag would never be abandoned ever. Yes. Stag had a friend in Corn. But now his attention was once again drawn away and he focused his eyes on the bugs that Cornkit was pointing out. "Corn knows so many bugs and beetles! Corn is king of beetles!" he proclaimed once again before reaching out for the stick bug... Would stick bug be tasty? He would have to see, but before he could pick it up Cornkit poked him and Stag let out a happy squeal. Could he poke others now? He poked Cornkit back with a smile before taking the stick bug and stuffing it in his mouth and chewing it up. "Stick bug was tasty!"

"Well if your fur was sparkly clean before! then maybe sit down and clean it again!" Mountainmist snapped with amusement. And then she quieted to listen to her apprentice's engaging tale about a little kit he wanted to mentor and she let out a rumbling soft purr. "You know.. you gotta be a warrior for that to happen little one," she was being a bit reprimanding but couldn't let the smile on her face escape. "I know you'll do a good job it that becomes an possibility at some point. I would wish it for you. Just got to wait and see." Flopping back to her side she patted her own belly, "These will surely get good mentors too. They just need to drain me of all fat and food before they're born," and she let out a soft laugh at that... Her apprentice was truly more of an adopted son to her lately and she quite enjoyed these... relaxing talks with him. It brought comfort to her, despite the unnerving feelings she sometime felt... because with Cloudberry's reappearance in her life... Mountainmist herself stood at a cliff. Yet she wouldn't dare share that with Creekpaw. That was too deep and the older molly wanted to protect the apprentice for as long as she could.

Yet, with the call from Weaselskip Silentwhisper let out a slight laugh. Which was basically huffs of air with an occasional snort. This was what happens when you race ahead when racing to the stream. It was quiet funny though. The powdered grey molly sign sorry a few times but she couldn't keep a straight face. She really shouldn't be laughing but it was the funniest thing she'd seen in a long while. To long. When was the last time she even laughed?
Finally ridding herself of her silent laugh, Silentwhipser moved over to the edge of the stream. She would offer a paw to her Clanmate. It might not help much considering the size difference but it was the thought that mattered. Even if she was just laughing it was important for Weaselskip to know she wasn't a jerk.

Weaselskip was floating in the stream and was all in all laughing her own ass off. Imagine missing a stream... A stream of all things was what she managed to miss on her run. When Silentwhisper finally came up to her, Weaselskip swam closer and nodded in regards to her signs, "It's all right, I'm fine. And its good to laugh ya know. Makes you feel all happy and warm inside doesn't it?" And then she saw Silentwhisper's outstretched paw and with a mischievous glance at the older molly, Weaselskip knew what she had to. This would be great. Would help them both get off their bad thoughts and just have fun, let go and just... relax. While not drowning of course, that was the major thing. "Come in here! A swim has never harmed anyone!" With that she took hold of Silentwhisper's paw and dragged her down into the water with her. "The water ain't deep, you'll survive," she laughed and then collapsed once again in the water as it sprayed into her mouth. She probably deserved that.

[ Open ]
Blackkit padded into camp, looking around. The kit stood to the side by the entrance, not knowing where to go.

Re: WindClan Clearing
"Yep!" Rosepaw purred. "I'm going to be getting a new mentor, though, since Crescentmoon is really close to kitting." And she couldn't keep up with the training sessions.
"It's funny how they were both expecting," the pretty she-cat meowed, bending down and taking a bite of the rabbit. It did taste rather good. "Such a coincidence, right?" she asked, looking at him and playfully bopping him on the nose with the tip of her bushy tail.

"Focus," he snapped, growing slightly irritated. Pointing with his tail and then directing his gaze on the birds he rolled his eyes. "Go along. Show me. Try to hunt." He didn't wait for her though, he was done waiting, for now. He walked further through the grass until he himself was capable of spotting the lapwings. They were completely unaware that they were soon to become hunt practice. Because with the unfocused apprentice, they were just as likely to escape as they were to be caught and returned to the clan as food.

Yewpaw
__________
"I am focusing!" she snapped back suddenly before immediately shrinking back into her own form. It seemed she had been doing a lot of that lately. Just because Twilightstar hadn't scolded her for her outburst didn't mean a warrior wouldn't. Yewpaw cringed inwardly as the lapwings ahead fluttered at the noise but they soon settled down again. 'Stars, I need to just keep my mouth shut.' she thought.
She crept forward alongside the tom, trying to match his stance and keep quiet. 'I have no training,' she thought, shooting Breezefeather a glance as if he could read her mind, 'And I've told you this. Yet, you're going to throw me into this al the same.' She let out a sigh, returning her focus to the birds and their glossy feathers. 'It can't be too hard... can it?'
Yewpaw inched forward until she felt she was within leaping range, her hunting crouch clumsy and makeshift, and paused in fear whenever the group shifted. After a moment of psyching herself up, she made the jump... and landed wide, tumbling to the ground. Most of the birds screeched and launched into the air or ran off but one rouge lapwing darted at the small apprentice and began pecking away. Yewpaw offered a terrified, echoing screech in return and swung wildly at the vicious bird - miraculously bopping it over the head hard enough for it to fall to the ground limp.
