Passion immediately felt waves of freezing pain run through her wing. She wailed out, and lost her balance on the branch, causing her to tumble down to the ground. Red, orange, and light shades of green ran through her scales as she hit the ground hard. Passion landed on her frozen wing- which was now in shock and paralyzed- and felt a surge of pain shoot through her shoulder. The RainWing let out another cry of fear and pain.

Passion got to her feet, favoring her hurt leg. As she stood up, another wave of pain washed over her shoulder, and the young RainWing gritted her teeth in pain. She looked to the sky, wanting to fly away, but knew that her wing wouldn't let her.
