Springpaw collected the fallen apprentice, and they were off. Wolfpaw's only response to Redhawk was a brief nod, before he followed the duo out of camp.

Mushroompaw's trail, fortunately, was still decently fresh. Following it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

Alpinekit heard of Fawnpaw a few times. She was found outside the Clan camp at two weeks old.

She mewed out of confusion, padding off to the big rock. Alpinekit climbed onto the rock but, she lost her footing and fell onto the hard ground. Thump!

Mousepaw had grabbed the kit by the scruff and carried her to more even ground are you ok there little one? Mousepaw asked.

Seeing the other kit fall Mantiskit was about to check if Alpinekit was okay when she saw Mousepaw grab Alpinekit by the scruff. Following Mousepaw, when she put the other kit down on ground that was smoother and more even Mantiskit meowed Awphinekit awe you awwight? She winced at the sound of her voice but making sure that Alpinekit was alright was more important than everything being perfect at the moment. @TheRadioDemon @Highsnow of Matterhorn

Alpinekit said with a clear muddled look, "I am okay..." She then opened her mouth as if to say something else, but couldn't speak. Alpinekit closed her mouth as she looked at the ground.

Mousepaw looked at the kid, a slight sadness in sear eyes ...death... is what makes us one with starclan... and I believe Fawnpaw will be happier up in starclan... Mouse explained. Mouse had never known Fawnpaw, but the sadness reminded Mouse too much of sear past... Stop. Its not my fault that mom died...

Mantiskit knew what death was. Oh she knew. It wasn't like she had much of a choice. She had known since she had lost her parents when she was barely a moon old. She had had no difficulty understanding what death was. One of the many ways she was different from all of the other kits. She had no idea how to explain death to a perfectly normal kit though... Hint normal. She didn't count. It sounded like Mousepaw had, fortunately already explained what it was to Alpinekit so she wouldn't have to worry about explaining what death was to a perfectly normal kit. Thankfully. And no, she still didn't count. She wasn't normal after all. She never had been and the way she had rapidly matured after her parents death had set her apart even more from the other kits so now she had even less in common with them then she had had in common with them before her parents died when she was even younger then she was now. @TheRadioDemon @Highsnow of Matterhorn

Alpinekit lifted her head and looked around. A termite couple was flying in mid-air. She soon spotted them, leaped into the air, and caught one. She nearly missed though...The termite was struggling as she lowered her head to place it. Before she placed it, she pinned the termite onto the ground so it wouldn't escape.

Part of the termite was underneath her left paw. She looked at it hungrily.
