"I do." Ravenpaw was freaking out too much to say anything else and potentially mess it up. Today was really the day! They had worked as hard as they possibly could to get where they were today, and couldn't ask for more than the right to earn their name and new rank. @Undertaker

Foxstorm chuckled. She guessed Blackpaw hadn’t even asked if that was an ok name with Blackpaw himself. She wondered if the kit was annoyed or if he just didn’t care. She wouldn’t. Foxstorm would love the prospect at having Dawnstar pick her name. Did that sound weird? Foxstorm shrugged. Eh, who cared?

Oh thank starclan he wasnt being stuck with a brat. Redshrike let out a huff and a chuckle at Badgerscar once more being brought low by Dawnstar and wondered if he failed this task too if the leader would kill him herself or if she'd let Grimhound and the cannibal play...... Oh he certainly hoped so this fool had let Dawnstar down that required punishment. Slipping around the gathered clan like a ghost Redshrike appeared beside the mutt drawling softly and oil slick smooth. "I wonder was I the only one who was sure that wreck was gone for good? After his last disappointment I thought he'd be smart enough to not show his face again, he's either braver or stupider then I first thought." The warrior chuckled again. "Ah well it doesnt effect either of us in any real way, best case scenario badger is simply put on the menu yes?" Grimhound would know what he was softly talking about where even if someone could listen in they wouldnt.
"Im just relieved Im not being stuck with another child. Brackenfire was tollerable but she was the exception not the rule, being stuck with a normal infant hanging off my tail would be worse then death." To his understanding Grimhound didnt care about apprentices negatively or positively simply taking them on and training them with little emotional attachment but Redshrike was more polarized. Unless the brat was exceptional in some way they were irritating and he didnt want them, he'd train them for Dawnstar but it wouldnt be fun for the unfortunate rat. Still the monochrome tom figured the hound would find his distaste amusing, he generally did.
Poisonpetal looks up to the Shadowledge as he hears another apprentice has been assigned under his care. He briefly wondered what he'd done to possibly earn Dawnstar's trust to earn a second apprentice while the other was still in training. No matter, he would do his best to make sure that trust wasn't squandered and he would do his best to make both cats into great warriors.
Puffinpaw's training was coming along nicely, if much slower than he'd like, but the younger tom was slowly getting there. Perhaps the presence of another apprentice would get his act together quicker, especially if Dapplepaw started to surpass him.
He skirts around his clanmates to approach the cat he was assuming was Dapplepaw, as the other new apprentices were already greeting the warriors assigned to them. "Congratulations on becoming an apprentice, Dapplepaw."
It wasn't extraordinary or a real accomplishment, but the thrill of becoming an apprentice isn't something that should be stamped out. "We can start your training as early as tomorrow, if you wish, or I can allow you some time to adjust to your new rank. As a heads up, I am training another apprentice at this time by the name of Puffinpaw. The two of you will end up training together once or twice, so if you see him, it wouldn't hurt to get to know him. He is the rather chatty sort. I don't think he'd mind helping you get used to life as an apprentice, but if you'd rather, I'm still available to come to if you need anything or have questions."
He tilts his head as he assesses the apprentice. He seemed average, if a bit friendlier than he was hoping. It only meant he and Puffinpaw were likely to get along. He did seem rather energetic and excited to become an apprentice so perhaps he wouldn't be too much trouble.
~Laurelkit~
Ah ha! She had been right! A bubble of pride floated up into her chest as Laurelkits grin only seemed to be growing bigger and bigger. Not only had she gotten the name right, his quieter purr had also caught her attention and only made Laurelkit feel that much more happy. However, at his tease Laurelkit seemed to give a few blinks of confusion before a quick nod. “Im ready to be out of the camp already! Ceremonies take too long to come,” frowning softly, Laurelkit tottered on her paws as she looked over Quailpaw. He was small, but seemed to have a good amount of muscle to him. The next thing that caught the kits eyes was his missing right ear, having summoned a rather surprised (and quite honestly worried) look from Laurelkit. How had he lost it? In a battle against a enemy perhaps? Had he been born that way? Blinking a few times Quailpaws words and snapped her from her thoughts and Laurelkit raised her catbrows slightly. “Really??” Laurelkit had given a little head tilt as she seemed quite interested in Quailpaws little story. “Wow, that’s cool! Are you friends?” a soft purr rumbled in her chest as Laurelkit bounced a little closer to Quailpaw “if not you should be friends,” it was true, Quailpaw seemed to be paying a good amount of attention to Ravenpaw.
Quailpaw smiled softly, a faraway look in his eye. "We're friends," he nodded. "We were both outsiders before we joined ShadowClan, and when we met... I guess we just clicked. I haven't seen them for a while." Quailpaw was quiet, thinking of his time outside the Clan. "I guess I've missed out on a lot of things."
Above the murmuring of the assembled cats, Ravenpaw's voice rang out: I do. Suddenly the memories overpowered him and he turned away with half a sob, so quiet it might have been mistaken for a laugh. "Sorry," he mewed, turning back to Laurelkit with an odd smile on his lips. "I'm a sucker for sentimentality." I'm not, some part of him thought crossly, but he'd been a wet-pelt for this kit long enough. "I bet you must be really excited for your own ceremony. I'd say you look half a warrior, how many moons are you?" The mottled tortoiseshell smoothed out his pelt and settled into a more manageable sitting position, expression calm and vaguely friendly.

A little smile danced along the Molly’s face when Quailpaw confirmed he and Ravenpaw, soon to be Ravensomething, were friends. A little gleam showed in her round and rather excited blue eyes as she gazed towards Ravenpaw for a moment before Quailpaws words caught her attention. Instead of gazing straight at him and into his eyes when she had turned to look, she instead stared towards his muzzle and examined how it look. She was listening of course and this was proven from when she tilted her head and her eyes shown with interest before the Kit like voice arose from her. “Really? What’s it like being a outsider?” though she had seemed rather interested, Laurelkit seemed to realize something before quickly adding on “if you’re comfortable with telling me, of course, I’ve heard it’s rather hard,” a soft sigh was puffed from her as the little kit gave a shake of her head. “I couldn’t imagine being a outsider, but I’m really happy you got a friend when you came here!” then she paused and thought about the next thing “how come you haven’t seen them in awhile?”.
Laurelkit had heard the “I do” come from Ravenpaw, causing the tiny molly to turn her head from the muzzle she had been examining and towards the cat who was about to be made a warrior. This would be the first one she watched! It was exciting to see how it was done! However, her attention was quickly recaptured by Quailpaws half sob, her gaze softening softly before the kit seemed to think of something. Giving a little playful headbutt to the leg of Quailpaw that was closet to her, Laurelkit blinked up towards the tom once the “sorry” had reached her tiny flickering ears. She gaze the tom a rather warm smile as she was finally able to gaze up and make eye contact with him for the next few moments. A soft little laugh came from her as she nodded in agreement with the statement. She was too. However, upon hearing Quailpaw speaking again the molly titled her head before she puffed her chest slightly with a bit of pride and her gaze sparkled. “I’m three moons old! I’ll have my ceremony in three moons!!” though she seemed rather excited, Quailpaw could hear her murmur a soft “but it’s not coming fast enough,” as she gazed upwards towards him.
(Got carried away ;-; )
Nightkit stood proudly up at his leader, chest held high and the kit grinned with honor and determiantion for the future. This will be it... I will finally be free! It would be so great! So much freedom! He would run through the forest like a squrriel or battle like his ancestors. Nightkit couldn't fathom the joy that was ahead but he could hear it in his mind. Nightpaw the firece, Nightpaw the brave, Nightpaw the...
He stopped midway in his thoughts. His gaze still rested on Dawnstar as the leader adressed him. What? Did...did she just...just change my name?! Blackpaw took a step back, a look of bewilderment spreading rapidly upon his worried and surpised face. His emtions started to churn once more, and a wave of anger swept throught Blackpaw's heart. No...no...I'm Nightpaw! He cried out in his mind. I'm not Blackpaw! He had grown up alone, with nothing but his title. He was a warrior cat, he was a Shadowclan Cat. He wasn't just going to lose everything becuase they're was already another cat! How could she do this!
Blackpaw walked up to Danwstar, a deep frown upon his face. "My...name ...is...Nightpaw."
Sleetkit was completely and utterly bored out of his mind as he sat at the Shadowledge, listening to Dawnstar drone on. He looked around for his siblings, but they were nowhere to be found.
Cougarivy smiled broadly as a little fluffy grey thing approached her and started babbling on. "I am Cougarivy," she purred. "Which must make you Pigeonpaw." She could feel the determination and excitement emanating from the little apprentice and she was growing more excited about mentoring this young molly. Her mind started exploring all of the fun things the two could do together. It'd be like having a little mini her to show how much fun all of this could be. She was beginning to understand why other warriors took such an interest in being chosen to mentor. "We can start as soon as the meeting is finished. I have lots of ideas on where we can start. This'll be lots of fun, I'll show you." She was already growing to like Pigeonpaw.

**Elmshadow**
Elmshadow's eyes were drawn to Cougarvy as she met her new apprentice but he was aware of Goldenstep beside him. Our kits. He nodded, turning his head softly back to Goldenstep, and smiled gently. "Yes, our kits aren't too far behind. They'll make great apprentices." He wasn't sure where the concern came from but he was suddenly assessing the warriors around them, wondering who would be trusted with the training of his daughters. He tried to remind himself that the pairings would be chosen carefully by Dawnstar herself and he wasn't sure why he was worried about that now anyways. He took a deep breath. What was with everything he was feeling recently?

Crowpaw hesitantly approached Gingercry looking up towards the the senior warrior "Hello" they said quietly, shifting nervously "When can we start training?" They asked, tilting their head.
