Perhaps they were due for a follow-up excursion.. he was curious to see what the other tom had been up to with his expanded knowledge.

Squirrelkit stepped forward eagerly. She was finally going to become an apprentice! Finally, she would be out of the crowded nursery (and away from mean Amberstrike). Meanwhile, her sister padded up meekly. Is Kestie dreading becoming an apprentice? Hmmm... I don't blame her. We'll have to do a lot of work.
