The black tabby chuckled, listening to the two other cats as she took the lead. Flicking her tail, she nodded to Pebblepaw's conclusion. "Yes, there's a WindClan cat over the border. Recently caught a rabbit. They're not a threat though. The scent's going stale, can you scent that?" Larkstorm felt good directing the young cat. It was easy for her, slipping into the role of mentor. Brambletree was good, too. She wondered if he had any apprentices.

Pebblepaw smiled at the older cat. She had always liked Larkstorm, she was kind and patient. Now, she was ready for the next thing to do. She always wanted to be busy, always wanted to be doing something.

"Pebblepaw, see if you can catch the scent of some prey. It may be hard due to the cold, but todays a warmer day and wetter too, so some birds may have come out for the worms." Brambletree instructed the apprentice.

(Bramble does have an apprentice btw)

Pebblepaw sniffed the air for a time, then caught the scent of a pigeon. The trotted off into the trees to get it.

"Remember the ground is quite frozen, leaves could crinkle." Brambletree warned as he watched the apprentice go off.

Waterscar gazed over into WindClan territory--wondering about the secrets beyond his own border. The moor's wind traveled over and swished past his muzzle. Waterscar then turned back, flicking his tail. He had better things to do, like hunting for his clan, and protecting the border from pesky intruders. He noticed some RiverClan cats hunt in the area too; but he continued to by himself instead of joining them.
Waterscar was able to catch a trout in the river, as he knew that it was a hotspot for them during this time of day. He returned to camp with the meaty fish in his jaws.

Palebrook watched Pebblepaw and Brambletree walked away. “Guys, no, we’re supposed to be doing a border patrol.” She flicked her tail to the border, which lay just beyond them, the river covered with a thin sheen of ice. “Other people are talking care of hunting.” They were already late, they couldn’t stop to hunt. @corgigirl

“We can hunt on the way back,” Palebrook meowed tersely. “Right now our directive is to patrol the border.” With that, she spun around and walked he rest if the way to the border and began to mark it, noticing that the ice was beginning to look a little thin.
