Unfortunately, Flintfang had begun to snicker too soon about the fate of his Clanmates, and happened to trip on his own tail before faceplanting.

Wasppaw watched in horror as half the freaking clan tripped and fell. Had it really been worth coming home? to this?

Kestrelpaw saw what was going on and ran toward the pile to help them up, before slipping and landing on top of her cousin.

Lilycreek saw the entire thing unfold, before telling all the kits to go inside for nap time.

briarkit ignores the order for naptime and proceeds to trip theatrically, then goes and helps stonepaw eat all the threatening rocks nearby.

Sunkit emerged from the nursery to survey the clearing with glittering eyes. seeing a tabby cat, she cocked her head and moved toward it. She was going to meow a greeting, but then her front paws caught something and she fell to the ground. spitting up dirt and bristling from head to toe, she decided to turn around

Finally feeling better, Beansprout walked out into the clearing to find... a disaster. First, Bluebellpaw tried to pounce on a pebble and tripped. But before he could do anything to help the apprentice, Gingerfrost himself slipped on the pebble, apparently not seeing Bluebellpaw slip moments prior. Then, Dogspring slipped! The siamese cat's jaw dropped in pure shock.

Just when he thought it couldn't get worse, Stonepaw -- the literal medicine cat -- ate the pebble. He didn't move it, no. That would be too easy apparently. Then, Briarkit joined in. Briarkit he could maybe excuse. Bluebellpaw could also be excused, seeing as she was just trying to pounce and misstepped. The rest of them?

Oh, but it didn't stop there. Beansprout heard a snicker followed by a dull thud as his Clanmate laughed at the chaos. This pissed Beansprout off further. He saw Wasppaw with a horrified look -- and imagined that was what he looked like right now. Another apprentice, Kestrelpaw, added to the chaotic scene by falling over. Beansprout did give Lilycreek a grateful glance as she tried to herd the kits inside. Ideally, none of the kids should be out when this finally stopped and the anger inside of him could burst.

"What the hell?" Beansprout growled, his voice still raspy from his bout of overworking-caused sickness. "What the actual hell?" While maybe, if he was feeling at 100%, Beansprout would be a bit nicer, he was at his wit's end and his head was still fuzzy. He didn't have time for this. "First of all, Bluebellpaw, make sure you're all good. You didn't do anything wrong. Second of all, Briarkit, I know Stonepaw's a high rank but we don't eat rocks." With a huff, he turned to the other three cats.

"Dogspring, Gingerfrost, Stonepaw?" With a frustrated growl, he lashed his tail. "Two of you are high ranks, for Star's sake! You two both have your names!" His eye narrowed as he focused his attention on the deputy and warrior first. "Did you not see Bluebellpaw trip? Or did you, and think to yourself, 'Hmm, instead of helping out, I should trip too!'" With that, he looked at Stonepaw. "And you, what the hell are you thinking? I know you're young, but you should know better than to eat literal rocks! Briarkit copied you, you set an example for these younger cats! All of you!"

His attention was back on all three cats as a group. "I don't know what you were thinking, and to be honest, I am too pissed to care. But if this is what our Clan -- our high ranks -- have come to, I'm going to do more than just yell next time. You all are lucky that I've been sick for the past few days. But if I walk out after being ill to find this kind of incompetence again, RiverClan will have to undergo some major changes."

"Oh, don't think I forgot about you, Flintfang. You got what you deserved. Maybe next time instead of laughing, try to help out a bit. I hope you've learned something, though I sincerely doubt it. And Kestrelpaw, I at least appreciate you trying to help."

With that, Beansprout approached Bluebellpaw. "I just want to say again, you're fine. You didn't do anything but try to pounce and fall. Speaking of that, though, I just want to make sure you're alright?" His voice was soft and gentle, a stark contrast to the words he spoke moments before.

Pikestar would peek out of his den with curiosity, soon seeing both Gingerfrost and Stonepaw, his fellow high-ranks, being yelled at by Beansprout. Quickly deciding that he did not want to also be yelled at, the mighty Lord of the Waters slowly backed away, disappearing back into the dark depths of his den. They thankfully had not tripped nor had consumed a rock today, so they were not in any trouble.
