Rosepaw glanced over at Goldkit and smiled with amusement at the kit's antics. With a small nod, she murmured, "This is Larkkit. I've spoked with her before. Her mother was an Outsider let into the Clan." Her voice was a bit tense at this point. "She also lined my nest with thorns just because I was speaking my right mind."

Rosepaw looked at the kit. Why did she seem so upset? She voiced this thought to the kit. "What's wrong?" she asked, her tone a tad bit comforting yet still more curious. She wouldn't let go of that old grudge easily; however, it's not like she would yell at a kit whose only fault was Outsider blood. And some thorns in my nest, she thought grimly, but put that aside. If she was nice and comforting... well, that would be good, wouldn't it?

From across the clearing, Twistedpaw noticed Rosepaw, Goldkit, and Larkkit. Larkkit? she wondered silently. Didn't the kit and Rosepaw not like each other? And why was she looking so sad? Rosepaw hadn't insulted her, by the looks of it. Cautiously, the deformed apprentice crept closer, bits of her horribly deformed tail twitching curiously.

I hurt Wolfkit!! Larkkit finally wailed. He was hurting Blackkit and he yelled Die half-clan scum, and I stood in between them, and kind of pushed him a little, and he landed on a rock and he wasn't moving. @TheNyanCatMinecart @~RooRoo~

Rosepaw's eyes widened. So, Larkkit had... killed Wolfkit? But then hadn't Wolfkit been angry that she'd been mean to Twistedpaw? She was half-Clan as well, she remembered. She could've lost an ally, but that wasn't as important right now. A kit had just died.
"Where is he?" she demanded, her honeyed tone becoming serious. "Is Coyotesnarl tending to him?"

Twistedpaw let out a gasp of shock, giving herself away. That was awful! But that kit had been so violent toward half-Clan cats... and she was half-rogue... but that didn't matter! A kit had supposedly died! "Wh-what?" she stammered.

I don't know Larkkit wailed. I ran away and Blackkit took him to Coyotesnarl's den, but I think he's dead, and I'm going to have to leave the clan forever. @~TheNyanCatMinecart

Rosepaw paused. She didn't know what to say. Sure, Larkkit could be a little brat sometimes; she'd even seemed to stand up for Twistedpaw! However, the whole thing had been an accident. So, taking a deep breath, she explained, "That is up to Twilightstar to decide. However, accidents happen. Many accidents," she added with a glance at Twistedpaw, standing nearby. "They can happen unexpectedly or with those who are too clumsy to realize... but either way, I believe that you'll be fine." She looked over at Goldkit, interested in hearing the she-cat's opinions on the matter.

Twistedpaw tensed. She didn't want to say anything else, but she felt really bad for the kit. As Rosepaw talked, her extremely small ears perked up. Was Rosepaw referring to her as the clumsy danger? She might be right... she realized with a sickening jolt. She could get her Clanmates hurt just because she was deformed.

Rosepaw nodded, then hesitated. "Well," she meowed, "like I said before, Twilightstar will have to decide that. You are only a kit, though... even if you can be a mischievous Outsider." Sitting down, she looked over at Twistedpaw. "But sometimes... like I said before... accidents happen."

Twistedpaw gulped and turned to look at Larkkit, who she knew was an Outsider - at least, her mother was. Glancing down at her paws, she mewed softly, "I... I accidentally injured my mentor, Wolftail, when training. He'll live, b-but..." She stopped, feeling her body shake. "Mistakes can happen," she muttered, glancing away.
