Yep, her questions seemed to be confirmed. Babies were running the show now. Oh, those poor big warriors who needed their help, how lost would they be without them?
Chest puffed up proudly, Firekit made her way up to the group of kits' she'd been assigned to work with (making sure to bump herself against Elkkit's side as she stepped forward). Her eyes flickered between all of her denmates - none of them seemed to be too talk-y, so it was time for her to make the first move!
"Let's get movin'! We can talk about whatever you all want, as long as you don't get all screamy like the warriors do. Y'think we'll find any holes in the camp walls? What do you think's out there? Other than dogs n' water, I mean..."
As she blabbed on, she gestured the other three forward with her feathery tail. THey were patrol-bound!
Autumnkit cleared her throat. "Follow me!" She meowed, following her gut instinct. She noticed a hole in a wall. "WOAH" she meowed, "This is gonna need fixing."

"Do you and Barley have kits?" - Bella
There was no hesitation as the young molly seemed to practically melt into their arms, which the dark-furred oriental was thankful for. Time and time again, Birdpaw had suffered from the cruel paw of this world, laying witness to death and destruction that no cat should dare have to endure. It made Snowleap feel sickly and his own stomach churned with his awful feeling, but no matter what, he never let go of the ragdoll cat, not for a single moment. Her hushed words spoke to him in a deeply personal way, speaking of always being too late to save anyone. He too had endured such guilt and regret. And yet, despite that, Snowleap wished he could feel this pain instead and allow his beloved baby bird to smile again. He squeezed Birdpaw gently and drew his tongue softly over her head, right between her ears. He wasn't the best at comforting others, but there was no doubt that he was giving it his all.
“I know, sweetheart, I know.” He murmured, slowly rocking his body forward and back as a way to comfort his child, “It is sad, but you must not blame yourself for these things, alright? You did everything that you could, and I am certain every cat here knows that.” As much as he despised it, Snowleap knew well enough that death and hurt was apart of life, more so in this way of living than they liked to admit. He then sent a sympathetic glance towards Petuniafire, but said nothing to her as he watched the she-cat silently feel the intense grief and loss that was put before her. How did this even happen?
At some point, Gingerfrost made his appearance and Snowleap reluctantly returned the nod that the deputy gave them now. Heronflight needed to be buried. Yes, that was obvious, but the RiverClan warrior said nothing about it. He knew Heronflight, but not enough to feel like he had the right to attend her funeral. If Birdpaw were to go along with it, or if either of them were allowed to attend, then he would show and give his respects to his own fellow clanmate. But at the end of the day, it is a decision that only Petuniafire could make. This was her family and it should be her choice. All Snowleap could do now was continue to comfort his poor daughter. He'd be here by her side through it all, being the father he should've been, remaining strong for her.

"Um, would you guys mind if I spoke to you about Cloudpaw, its regarding some training and I was hoping that some more experienced opinions might help." Her tail curled neatly around her paws as she spoke.

Okay, so no instructions on what he had to do. That was fine. Totally fine. He's a big boy, he'll figure it out. Listening to what Ferretsnap is saying, it doesn't seem too complicated anyway. From what it sounded, all he had to do is watch the kits and collect their reports... Not too challenging, he did that on a daily. It could be funny if these kits did a better job at their little patrols than some warriors, heh. He was starting to not regret joining this; minus the kits' loud talking, of course. So Gingerfrost silently sat down next to Ferretsnap (because the point in remaining upright when there's no reason to), as he watches the kits slowly gather for their little patrols. Gives them something to do other than sneak out, at least.
As for Elkkit: the dark-minded child is just cursing the warriors out in his mind. These tasks must mean that those lazy, stupid big cats fail to do anything at all around this clan -- his thought process is surprisingly similar to that of his sister. Only... A lot less nice. He grouchily looks around when he suddenly feels a bump to his side: Firekit. His eyes open and his lip forms a pout, but he still follows behind the bigger sibling. The other kits were talking about who knows what, and Elkkit didn't care. Autumnkit is trying to take charge of something, and Webkit probably has a stick up his butt -- as usual, the only nice cat here is Firekit, to whom he sticks very closely as they walk along the walls of camp. Until, of course, they come across a hole. Elkkit rolls his eyes. Of course the stupid haven't yet seen this hole, they're incompetent. Now, someone said to they need to fix this -- "how do you suppose we'll do that" Elkkit wanted to spit their way, knowing full well a kit can hardly make a nest, let alone rebuilt a wall. But he bit his tongue, refusing to utter a sound and instead look Firekit's way to she can speak in his stead.
Everything was happening at once. They finally got back home together and now she's gone. Perhaps if she hadn't of been picked up by two-legs a while ago she'd be alright. Stupid two-legs. Why did they have to take her? Heronflight wouldn't of become so weak. Soon it felt like the whole world came to a stop. Voices were blocked out and all there was was her and her mother.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you. I should have followed you even when you told me not to. I'm sorry mother that's how you went.", she whispered touching her nose to her mothers cheek. Soon she heard a voice and looked up to see Gingerfrost. Yes they needed to bury her. Petuniafire wanted some more time with Heronflight, but it was probably best if they did it now. She had plenty of time to grieve.
Petuniafire stood up straight, using her paws to wipe off the tears. "Of course.", was all she uttered. There wasn't much she wanted to say. She wanted to get it done and over with, so she can go and cry in the warriors den. She wasn't even sure if she had the strength to bury Heronflight. It hurt way to much. No she had to. Heronflight didn't have any other family. She needed her to help bury her.
On a really good stride on here and Barleypaw is really close to getting her post counts finished for her training. If there is anyone who needs a cat to help with anything feel free to VM or pm. I want her to be more active along her clanmates.
Lilycreek just warmly as the kit chowed down on the mouse that was given to her. She was so small... it was almost like she hadn't been cared for. Which wouldn't have been too shocking. Her own son, Lynxkit had been abandoned as well.
She looked over at Beansprout with a fond smile. "She'll fit right in." She said quietly. Moon would have no problems fitting in. Riverclan would give her a home.
The tiny kit mewed happily and she ate the mouse, stuffing her mouth she says, “thank you, papa!” Moon gobbles up the mouse when she finished she started to frantically run around giggling and smiling.
( my bad I didn’t know it was my turn till @sol. told me :'] )
Despite just meeting this kid, Beansprout felt a nice connection with her. Their backgrounds were so similar, and yet Moon was far more outgoing and cheerful than he had been at her age. The siamese had had a mentor figure of his own, and he was determined to act as one to this kid, should she let him into her heart eventually. As Lilycreek spoke, Beansprout found himself tearing up just a bit. He knew that Moon would be welcomed, of course, but hearing the words out of the forever queen's mouth just made things feel more real, more concrete. He gave an appreciative and thankful nod, drawing his paw toward his face in an attempt to clear and of the welling tears.
His heart swelled as Moon ate the mouse and she called him... papa? With a small sniffle, he managed to choke out the words "Of course," before being overcome with emotion. With the death of Fawnlight, he had been lacking any kids of his own. He hadn't known if he was truly ready to put everything into taking care of a kit again. And yet... he couldn't even describe what he felt. Only that it was a torrential whirlwind of emotions that left him fighting tears, turned away from Moon so that she hopefully couldn't see him cry.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Mallowmist stretched, his tabby tail swishing back and forth as he padded out of his den and into the camp. It was a decent day, compared to the past few days of rain, and he hoped that he could join an early hunting patrol. It would be nice for a swim, he thought to himself as he groomed his ears.

“Is papa ok?” She says tilting her head, looking at Lilycreek then back at Beansprout. Confused on why the tom turned away from her, she pads closer as she softly baps his back.
