The white tom stood, carefully relieving Shrewpaw of his heavier weight. Of course he won. He always won except for when it really mattered... Guardians, he needed to stop thinking about that. Frostpaw scanned the smaller tom, looking for any subtle hints of harm, then turned away. Bashing still did just as much as it would do in an actual battle... that was why he didn't spar much. He preferred using his weight over his claws, so the sheathed only restriction really didn't do much. "You should see Irisflame if you're sore," he grumbled. "You did well." @gs29513

"Yeah she's amazing! Although I've only really trained with her once, and Cherrypaw hurt herself then."

He purred at the thought of her. Was she doing better now?

Irisflame quivered, her slumping posture a stark contrast to the usual air of superiority she held herself with. She couldn't imagine how Icestar would react to the situation, what with their herbs destroyed, probably bundles of other idiots, and now a medicine cat missing. Allowing herself to take a seat as they conversed, she lowered herself carefully to the ground before clearing her throat. "Two sets of news, really." She murmured, her voice a clear attempt to remain composed. Her frown deepened as she prepared herself to continue, knowing that Icestar didn't enjoy having her time wasted. At least the large she-cat's mew seemed to hold some amount of respect in it.
"Echopaw...Echopaw was taken earlier today. By who..I-I don't know, but there is obvious proof that she was." She fought back the overwhelming sense of dread that threatened to drive her from the den and go off to find her apprentice herself.

Icestar sat quietly for a moment, hearing the phrase again in her head. Great. The herb supply had been destroyed, and now she was down one medicine cat! Granted, it's possible she wouldn't have lasted in the position anyways, with that murderous rage of hers.

"I will send out a search party," Icestar responded at last. "In the mean time, I will be looking for and assessing a new apprentice for you." ShadowClan couldn't just sit around while they waited for Echopaw to return. And besides--they didn't even know if she would be found or not. And the Clan might not want her back after what she did, in her rank. She looked at Irisflame, fully expecting an argument.

"Who's your mentor then? Do they train you a lot?" he inquired, sitting down on a patch of moss. Croakingpaw seemed so welcoming and after feeling isolated as a new apprentice, he found himself actually willing to make conversation.

Skunkkit was nervous for the ball to be tossed to him soon, but he forced himself to stay put. He had to prove to himself that he could play a game like a normal kit. He had to prove it to himself.

Croakingpaw smiled a bit,” Adderfang. She’s a tough mentor and pushes me a lot, but she teaches me well, which is important.” he explained. Hoping he didn’t make her sound too terrible of a mentor.

Tawnypaw grunted understandingly. He would rather have a tough mentor than a negligent one.

"That's good!" he exclaimed. "Do you think you could show me some battle moves some day?"
