Sootpelt soon entered the clearing again with a dead body of a familiar tom in her mouth. She dropped the body in the clearing. She recognized the scent of the murderer immediately before sitting beside the corpse with a sad look. "Poor Ashwolf... He must've put up a good fight if he's this badly injured." She mewed softly. Splashpelt darted over with a worried look.

Hearing a voice speaking to him, Falconflight snapped his head around and saw it was his sister Puddlebounce. Listening rather absently he wasted no time to reply "Yeah I know Puddle-" he started idly before stopping as his eyes widened "W-What...? Spiderleap...plotting against Lark?!" he muttered in shock.

So...he had a name...Spiderleap was trying to gain followers to overthrow Larkwing!? Well this was a lead and now he knew who to be suspicious of and keep away from his kin... now he needed to soil their plan! And he had an idea...

Digging his claws into the ground a frown grew on his maw "Puddle...do you think you could...find out some more about this...mabye pretend to support Spiderleap's idea...?And...well you know... spy on them?" he asked hopefully his voice lowered he knew it was a strange thing to ask but this was their best chance of protecting Lark and of course Puddle wouldn't actually support that idea and he'd make sure she was safe while doing it so...mabye she'd agree?

Sootpelt slowly made her way over with Splashfur following. "I found Ashwolf dead in the territory. The stench of my jerk of a brother William was all over the corpse. I fear for the clan's safett." She mewed softly.
"I can't believe someone would kill Ashwolf like that! The audacity!"

A joyful smile replaced Falconflight's frown at Puddlebounce's agreement "Thanks sis! Just make sure you don't get caught and report anything you think is suspicious to me no matter how small!" he told her eagerly, good now he had a spy in place! Though he probably needed more followers it was a start.

Glancing around the clearing for a moment he leaned towards Puddle "Now is there anything else you can tell me about this rebellion?" he asked quietly it was important to know as much as he could so he could gain evidence and use it against the traitors.

Ahh, what a normal day. The sun.was shining, a little chilly but still it was such a beautiful day! With a smile on his face and skip in his step, Falconfeather strode into the clearing, good vibes radiated off of the medicine cat. But, but but! Oh boy they didn't last long. Green eyes rounded to the mangled sight of Ashwolf, making the cat grimace in distaste. Another dead body, so very recently after Gingerfrost. And the stench of rogue filled his nostrils as the healer padded foward, inspecting the dead cat's wounds before meeting Sootpet's eyes with question. "What happened?"

Rushwater? Hmm...he didn't know the tom very well nor did he know if he could be trusted...but his sister seemed to like him..."I suppose...but...is he loyal to Lark? You should find out but do it without him knowing" he said seriously he needed to know what side the warrior was on first to hire him.

Since they were now on the subject of gaining spies he needed to find another who did he trust? Well there weren't many close to him beside from his kin so...he didn't have many options he'd have to find some relations himself.
