Darcy emerald eyes glanced up from her best. Her eyes sharpened as she identified the cat that entered. "Percy. Speak, but I'm only listening because of my sons, not because of you. apologies meant nothing to her anymore. Only her kits mattered. She'd listen to Percy, but she wouldn't forget his harsh words. She was days away from giving birth, and needed to surround herself with cats she could trust.

" Your son Sparrowskip is becoming leader. Kestrelstar is dead and your son is the deputy now leader. Your other son is continuing to live his life. That is all I have to report about them. I also still realize Hope's death burns your heart and I may not be able to regain your trust nor do I, but heres a parting gift. "

Of course. A cat who fell in love quickly fell out of love just as fast. He found someone new in mere days after he left. But Darcy didn't care. Now she wouldn't have this time around anymore, which stung a little because he was a friend but never a mate. "Best of luck to her, then. " The queen spat, claws unfurling. " GoodBYE." Her son was leader, good for him. She didn't understand the full extent of that, but still.

Darcy's ears pricked at the word "Mother". Oh. Peace. She turned around to smile at the kitten. Her belly was swollen with the kittens she was carrying, and her eyes softened as they fell upon the mouse. "And it's a big one too! Good job, honey. "

Peace purred loudly and pushed it towards Darcy. "How are you and the kits today?"

She sounded so big. Darcy smiled even wider, and nodded to it. "They're getting big. Do you want to share? I want to talk to you about something."
