Asterpaw's muzzle rippled in disgust as he watched Twilightstar step in. She shouldn't have had to step in at all. These cats should have known that what they were doing was wrong, even if their actions were targeted toward a criminal. "They're just as bad as the Dark Forest," he muttered. If not worse. He got to his paws and made his way to the apprentices' den, shaking his head as he went.

Wolfwhisper nodded, twitching her ears. Now... next would be the the back kick. She she’d just have her attempt to do it. She figured that was enough sparring for one training session. “What do you know about the back kick?”

The blue grey kit, Jaykit, let out tiny hisses. He knew it was his family around him but he didn’t like being shoved around- it made him want to hit back. Grumpily, Jaykit pushed out his small, soft paws at the wriggling bodies around him, trying to hit his siblings so they wouldn’t keep bumping into him.

Shortly, his hisses subsided to be replaced with words. All of his siblings were trying it so why not him? He wasn’t about to be left behind and stuck not being the one saying things.

“Muh-mumma. Daaday.”

Heathernose beamed as Quiverpaw ducked her swipes and came up with the chin hit. It landed squarely on Heathernose’s chin and shoved her head up with the momentum- in a real battle it would be a wonderful move to disorient opponents. Heather was also even more proud because she’d sort of created the move- at least she thought she had. She had never seen another cat implement it so she figured she was the only one who’d tried it and it made her happy to see her apprentice do it so well!

Offering a proud nod instead of words this time, Heathernose was quick to retaliate. Quiverpaw seemed to be doing very well, so the tortoiseshell thought it could be a good time to speed up slightly. Thus, she shot her paws out faster, though still holding back on the force. This time, she came off of the chin hit by pushing herself upward with the momentum and aiming to come down on the top of Quiverpaw’s head. The risky maneuver left her belly open for a swift cat’s attack but would greatly disorient an opponent in battle if done right.

Once the bodies have been buried, Fallenghost went to camp and reported to the breezerock so they wouldn’t have to be looked for thinking they were missing or something. Cleaning the dirt and scent off of her pelt, Fallenghost groomed her pelt so she wouldn’t look like a mess.

Padding to the high rankers, she dipped her head to both of them. “The bodies as buried in the outskirts.” she meowed straight to the point since she wasn’t the type to give ridiculously long stories that didn’t lead to the point.

Quiverpaw couldn't help but smile back as Heathernose beamed happily at her. She must have done something right, using her mentor's own move against her. And it had actually hit, which made the moment even sweeter since that seemed to be a rarity since she was still pretty new at this whole fighting thing.

She was caught slightly off-guard as Heathernose sped things up. She didn't think the warrior could get any faster than she already was - but here she was speeding up even more. The apprentice didn't have any time to think even a bit before doing anything and while she did spot Heathernose's open belly, she didn't react in time before the warrior brought her paws down on Quiverpaw's head. And while Heathernose was certainly holding back, it still slightly disoriented her with even just half her weight behind it.

Cherrykit ran around the nursery before she tripped on a twig rolling straight into a queen mewling loudly as she did.
