Rosepaw dipped her head and flashed a bright grin. Her mother’s praise warmed her from nose to tail-tip. She gave a nod of agreement as her mother mentioned deformities. “A smart, beautiful, and proper mother like you would never be able to produce a kit who was a tenth as deformed as Twistedpaw,” she smirked, glancing over at the deformed black cat sitting not too far away. “That thing takes away my appetite,” she added, tearing her gaze away from the horrendous-looking cat.

He knew what was coming...was he still allowed to sit upon the Breezerock with her? Well he could for the last time so the tom walked up the path and sat a respectful distance away from the molly. Brindlejaw took the time to enjoy the view of the Breezerock that would be dearly missed.

Songbird slowly padded out of the den with all five of her kits following her. The mottled queen never felt so so tired in her life. "Remember, sit politely and do not make a scene or dare to raise your voices." Lightly reminding the kits.

Skunkblaze bounded into camp after hunting, and dropping her prey, hustled over to the meeting. Come on Rosepaw she mewed. We don't want to be late. @TheNyanCatMinecart

Larkkit ran out of the nursery, calling to her sister. Come on Jaykit! There's a meeting. She didn't think it had anything to do with them, but still. She could meet people! @Shadowsight

Thornkit padded out of the nursery. Come on mom! she called to Leopardblaze, hoping that would make the she-cat like her more. @Corruptx

Leopardbite strolled with a groan through the collecting mass of cats, protruding fangs grinding irritably together as she took a quiet seat back toward the assemblaging crowd's edge. The cashmere craned her head over her shoulder to peer blinkingly down at Thornkit, who had scampered eagerly to the queen's side. "Shoo, ya' little runt!" Leopardbite snorted, already beyond exasperated.

Jaykit walked out of the nursery after his mother. He was excited to see a meeting for the first time but it better not be a boring one. The kit was not about to sit still and be quiet if he was bored out of his mind. He harrumphed preemptively and plopped down next to Songbird, glaring at the Breezerock as if daring Twilightstar to bore him.

Heathernose noticed Brindlejaw appear behind Twilightstar and sent him a friendly wave of her tail, still feeling stressed and nervous but wanting to send him a gesture of her friendship. She’d not talked to him in what felt like ages and their chance to hang out had been foiled last time partially by her condition. Today, though, she was determined to corner him and find some time to talk again.

However, she quickly noticed the look on his face and frowned. He seemed upset about something and Heathernose’s anxiety immediately shot up. Even though she had no idea what was bumming out her friend, she worried for him and could already feel her body temperature heating up from the nervousness. Hoping he could see her, Heathernose furrowed her brow and mouthed,

“What’s up?”

Okay. Play-time was up. Leopardbite was seething with rage now. First off, the dumbass apprentices had decided to scare away her prey - the cashmere figured the little incident had been intentional. The Clan could starve because of them!

Not that Leopardbite could give a rat's-tail, though.

But now... Now?! Well, secondly, the pair had made the foolish choice of just... just walking away! A very foolish choice indeed. Very foolish.

And so, quite evidently, they would have to pay. And it wasn't going to be pretty. Oh, no, heh - oh, no.

Clenching her long, protruding fangs, Leopardbite leapt.

She leapt, leapt and practically flew like a hawk through the air, talon-like claws unsheathed, protruding fangs gritted, straight toward the apprentices.

Why were cats so dramatic? As she thought about her words, she supposed she could understand how it sounded bad to the wrong ears.
"Calm down and stop glaring at me like that, it makes me feel like you're going to tear out my throat or something like that." Twilightstar chuckled but there was no mirth within it. Her own eyes flashed with a cold a merciless glare, it came and went like a breath of fresh air, she dropped her gaze and her lids while opened her maw to yawned loudly.
"You left the clan, and so are currently an outsider. You haven't asked me to rejoin yet nor given me a reason why you've left. You just came in asking about kits," The leader raised her hind leg to scratch at her ear mildly bored out of her mind. "So let's hear, I need an excuse and a good one at that to make up for your rude behavior." Not that it was really her fault, Twilightstar could have reworded that better.

"Did you just call me fluff!" The molly rolled to her paws and scowled at him, more concerned bout the nickname then what he was saying after it. He was so casual about ThunderClan burning, although that was nothing to be surprised about, they were always on fire...literally. They should really find a place that was not a fire hazard.
"Well, if they're on fire I'm guessing they're at RiverClan. ShadowClan is led by an ass and RiverClan the only clan with enough territory to hold a second clan." She mused, stretching as she stood up. Twilightstar didn't count anything as debt the one time they took them in, but she also wasn't in the mood to be on anyone's bad side. Besides wasn't there rule in the code about helping a clan out when it was down in the dumps. She really needed to go over the warrior code one of these days.
"Alright, I'll gather up a hunting party and we can see what can find on our way there. You can come too, I'm sure the other medicine cats could use an extra paw there." It might be nice to get out of the camp for a while. "Thank you for informing me." She added, very pleased that he hadn't done things on his own again. It would be nice if they could start sharing the responsibility of leading here.

Twilightstar felt a little bad about tearing the tom apart as she was, it was hard for her to hold back all the time plus she was used to trading blows with a master in verbal jousting, she could forget sometime that Brindlejaw wasn't like Coyotesnarl so he wouldn't throwback what she dished out.
"I apologize for being so blunt, I have trouble.... restraining myself." She flattened her ears feeling a little bashful and guilty. She hoped she hadn't destroyed his self-esteem, or that someone would build it back up. There had to be some cat full of sugar in the clan, StarClan knows she and Coyotesnarl didn't have a grain of that.
"Thank you for being so understanding," she would prefer he resigned of his own volition instead of her having to demote him. It sounded better and she hoped he continued to serve WindClan well as a warrior. Was she aware she had crushed someone's hopes and dreams? Not exactly. She was unable to empathize that far.
"Sure, you can help with that." He wasn't her deputy anymore but it would be nice if he could become one of the cats she could rely on in the future.
"I don't have enough experience with that anyway. You can also help the new deputy through any troubles they might have as well. You're currently the only cat who's held the deputy position longest during my leadership." The WindClan leader relaxed a little, feeling like a little weight had fallen from her shoulders but now, even more, would be added. She wondered how many deputies she'd have to go through until she found the right one to take a place that she didn't want.

"Oh, um... Applehaze is really nice. He gets distracted sometimes, but I don't mind. I've learned quite a lot from him. Well, much more than Paleheart taught me anyways." Puddlepaw was still slightly disappointed in his former mentor's lack of teaching, followed by a sudden disappearance, but he still forgave her, and was just glad he'd gotten reassigned to another great cat.
