The WindClan leader was debating on how to words this announcement as Brindlejaw took his place once more as her deputy. She was sure some of the cats in the clan could already guess what was going to happen, that expression on Brindlejaw's face said a lot. Twilightstar stood up and stepped towards the edge of the rock, tail raised commanding in the signal for silence as opened her mouth. She decided to forget making it pretty and do it her usual blunt way.
"WindClan, there's much to get done, but first after some debating and discussing, Brindlejaw has decided to resign from the position of deputy. From here onward, he will serve WindClan once more as a warrior." She stopped there, doubting she'd get much if any protest from her clan, to give Brindlejaw a chance to speak if he'd like.

Shockpaw felt disappointment bubbling in their chest. Brindlejaw wasn't going anywhere, but they weren't sure they would get used to someone else in his spot as deputy.
Dimtail glowered. He wasn't surprised he was being replaced. He barely even realized the tom was actually the deputy, he was so scarcely seen. Felt more like he was a place warmer.
He snorted. Hopefully the new deputy would be more active in their role.
