Oh, dear. Snailswirl’s face scrunched with worry. They hadn’t meant to be overbearing or insensitive — of course Hailpaw was upset that her mentor was gone. And probably even more so that Snail themself seemed careless and oblivious to her feelings. Feeling ashamed and embarrassed, they sighed. "I’m sorry about that," they admitted sheepishly. "I shouldn’t have been so insensitive. And I’m sorry about your former mentor." Remembering the bond they made with their own mentor, they mentally smacked themself for not realizing how big of an impact Hailpaw’s former mentor would’ve left on her.

With a smile, Snailswirl made their way to the entrance. "Let’s go!" they purred, jogging. They knew not many flowers grew near camp, with the kits and the high foot traffic. If anything, marigold might grow deeper in the territory, perhaps some place where few cats go. "If you see any flowers or cobwebs on the way, give me a holler." Keeping their eyes peeled and making sure the apprentices were behind them, the tabby continued forward.

Leappaw flicked her ear excited and looked for her mentor. "Echoheart?" She called. Leappaw had never really known her last mentor and was kinda sad she wouldn't get to know her. @kittygirl

She nodded, looking at Dawnpaw. “It’s for when your opponent is pinned and they attempt to strike you. You duck your head, roll over onto your back, and recover on your paws. I can demonstrate.” Wolfwhisper showed no signs of actually being hurt from what she and said and at the moment, she was trying to not think about it. They had training to focus on. She wasn’t about to let her unhappiness get in the way of training her.

Skripple dodged the paw Wishpool sent at her, but only barely. She returned with a swipe of her own to Silverpaw, aiming for his belly.

Harefoot came sprinting through the clearing, tailed by his littermate, Brackenshine, hot on his heels. He had a rabbit carcass in his jaws, stolen from Brackenshine.

"Stop you piece of rabbit-dung! She yowled after him. Harefoot turned his head back to see how far behind she was. He was proud that she could barely keep up with him.

Turning back, he suddenly realised that he was hurling himself in the direction of Paleheart.
