November Gathering

Moonshine was going over to... hopefully a Shadowclanner. Even though the rest of her clan, Windclan, hated Shadowclan she still liked them. She went over to them and sniffed the air. Hopefully this was a Shadowclanner and it would be nice to have a chat with her secret allies.

Plumpaw rolls her eyes at Lionstorm. He ranted and raved like a grumpy apprentice about Icestar, and while it was humorous, she had to say it made him seem pretty childish. Either that or he was grousing like the old, old man he was. It could be seen either way, really. She doesn't defend the late leader though, having no reason to. ShadowClan were fox-hearts and rogues playing house with each other, that much was unquestionable. Still, she couldn't help but feel like Icestar had been a tier above her daughter in leadership. Dawnstar seemed... A little screwy.

"You sound so full of yourself," the apprentice tells Dimbutt when he finally gives them his real name. "What kind of meet and greet is that? Should I have done the same? Hi, I'm Plumpaw and I'm going to trash talk my Clanmates to make myself seem cool, or something." Her tongue was sharp and her eyes flash as she stares at the WindClanner for a heartbeat, before her posture softens again and she huffs. "All you WindClanners are lofty though, huh~"

When Lionstorm nudges everybody into action, lifting his voice as he stood with them, the silver she-cat flattens her ears back and cringes. Lifting up a paw, the apprentice aims a solid jab at the golden tom's flank. "Hey, a Stand-around-ering is the same as Gathering. Should be an Announcering if you want announcers- Announcements." Realizing her flubbed joke, Plumpaw's face gets just a bit warm, and she passes off a sheepish laugh.

But it was good finally to hear the other leaders speak, and she knew that Lionstorm was probably just waiting for Sootstar's turn. It was odd not hearing RiverClan take the lead on news, but they were still the first to arrive so the she-cat wasn't too bothered. "Sounds like everyone's got issues," she mutters after Dawnstar speaks. "I gotta say, I'm glad she has her eyes on WindClan... Oh, sorry Dustbug."

Lionpaw seemed nice, which was good, but Frosty on the other paw, well he just seemed really focused on not talking to her. Or maybe he just really wanted to hear what the leaders had to say. And he had to have a name other than ‘Frosty’! Probably Frost-something, but it could be something else, because not all nicknames are some cat’s prefix and than a ‘y’ slapped on at the end. “RiverClan’s doing great! Although, there’s been a ton of high rank changes. Out medicine cat is Sparrowskip now, and his apprentice is Snakepaw. Lionsta- Lionstorm stepped down from leadership, and now Sootstar’s leader! How about ThunderClan?” if her nose wasn’t failing her, that’s where Lionpaw was from.

Stagpaw ran over only a moment after she finished talking, and Sootspring had to stifle a laugh at the apprentice’s enthusiasm and tactics. Although how the heck did his face get that swollen? “The best apprentice in WindClan?!? I’m honored to speak with you, Stagpaw.” The molly played along, wondering if Twilightstar was really his mom. Probably not, but you never know! “Hey, Best Apprentice of WindClan, is your face okay?” she asked after realizing she probably should make sure he was okay.

Scorchstrike was BORED. Worried and bored. There was going to be a war with Windclan, she just knew it. She still hadn't found anyone to talk to. No wonder, her face probably scared everyone away.

Sparrowskip wasn't sure if he trusting this she-cat to train him or Snakepaw. She just seemed... off to him. Who called themselves great like that? " Ye-yeah, maybe that could happen. Depends on what Sootstar says though.." He was thankful that Snakepaw changed the subject. It would have been a bit of awkward silence if he didn't. @Zesty Mango @Rainquail @Siren Bliss @Rani

Sootstar took note both of Dawnstar's smug grin upon arriving last to the gathering and her impatient claw-tapping and was glad to hang back on his announcements, even ignoring the behest of Lionstorm. They could both wit patiently like everyone else. Besides, he found it oddly satisfying as the Icespawn's mood continuously soured. As Dawnstar stepped back, he stepped forward - clearing his throat and only hoping he would remember all their was to say.

"RiverClan has had a mild moon but a good one nonetheless."

"Most importantly - as many of you may have guessed - Lionstar has stepped down from his position as leader and passed the mantle to me. He remains among our ranks as Lionstorm." No need to go into detail as to why the former leader chose to step down, or his ridiculous shenanigans at their own meeting, "Before he stepped down, Lionstorm named our two new medicine cats - Sparrowskip and Snakepaw. Some of you may have met them already - they are here with us tonight."

"Three of our apprentices have become warriors - Almondspirit, Silentheart and Whiteberry." He paused, letting the crowd take that in, "And in the same vein, two cats in our ranks have been given new names. Cricketchirp joined us moons ago without much knowledge of the clans and has since completed much of the training our apprentices would go through and has proven himself to be a valuable clanmate. His new name - Cricketflight - signifies this. Halfpaw - as well - has been renamed to better suit her. Her new name is Palepaw."

Stars, his mouth was getting dry already. How did the others do this?

"In less fortunate news, a former member of ours - Springcry - has been exiled. He has proven himself to malicious and predatory. If he tries to join any other clan, I would advise turning him away."

"That's all."

Giving a small nod, Sootstar stepped back from the edge and gave a sweeping glance over the crowd before turning to the molly nearby. In a quieter voice, he spoke, "Dawnstar, I'd like to speak with you before you leave."

Meadowvalley looked up at Sootstar as he spoke. She was glad to hear RiverClan was good except for one thing. Springcry, he was exiled. Why? Sootstar didn't give any details except for Springcry being malicious and predatory. What happened, she wondered. I will figure out what has happened even if no one tells me, she said to herself. She shook herself from her thoughts and looked back at Lionstorm. He still didn't answer her question but since the gathering was over she had to say bye. "I guess we have to go then...the gathering is over," she moewed, with a troubled look in her green eyes. Lionstorm didn't have to answer her question about him going down from leader to warrior. But it didn't matter, at least he wasn't dead. Meadowvalley liked Lionstorm as a friend, he was cool. The ThunderClan she-cat wasn't sure if she should wait for an answer from Lionstorm or just go back over to cats from ThunderClan.

Moonshine walked over to the she-cat that smelled of Shadowclan."Hi!! You are from Shadowclan, right?" she asked lowering her voice enough to where she could not be heard by any other Windclan cat nearby. If they knew she was talking to Shadowclan her secret allies she would be exiled.

A Windclan cat? Now? While she was just thinking about them? Well, whatever. "I am. I'm Scorchstrike. You?" Other cats would probably be mad she was talking with the enemy, but this was a Gathering. It's what she was supposed to do.
