Glowkit was literally shaking with excitement. "How does it work!? What are the great things about this!? Oh, I'm so happy I can't stand still!" She danced around.

Cherrykit smiled listening. "No, not that I can think of, Blackfir." She said kindly.
Pebblekit burst into the kit corner and spotted Blackfir alongside a couple kits. The others kits beat him here! He ran towards Blackfir and skidded to a halt in front of him. Be polite. His mother's words echoing in his head, he dipped his head. "Sorry, I arrived a little late", He mewed. What was Blackfir supposed to teach, again? Ah, the Warrior Code! Pebblekit did know a little about the Ancient Code but he was here to learn more. He wondered how much he missed. Would Blackfir go over it again for him or just skip it?

The white and black tom nodded, sweeping his amber gaze over the kits. Shinekit was being awfully quiet but Glowkit and Cherrykit were as involved and interested as he could've hoped. He turned to look as Pebblekit ran in apologizing. He gave a small, smiling nod. "That's alright. If you're late again, join quietly so we don't disturb everybody," he corrected with a tinge of laughter under his words. "We were just getting into the different codes. To defend your clan, not trespass on others' territory, ensure elders and kits are fed first, do not kill prey except to eat it, and no becoming apprentices before six moons. It's important to adhere to these codes to ensure harmony and the longevity of all clans." Turning to return his gaze back over the group, he continued, "The next codes are, six, new warriors must keep a silent vigil after receiving their name. Seven, only warriors who've had at least one apprentice may become deputy. Eight, except in extreme circumstances, the acting deputy will become leader if the leader should die. Nine, the clan must choose a new deputy as soon as possible after the death, retirement, or disappearance of the previous deputy. Ten, at each full moon there's to be a truce among the clans so they can all gather. Does all of that make sense?"

Sootfur rushed to his leader's side as soon as they arrived back to camp from the Gathering. She had to know, even if the Shadowclan queen decided not to show up. It was still his duty as a warrior to make his leader know. "Sparrowstar, may we speak for a moment? It's important.And urgent. I really hope she will understand, as I had promised her at the Gathering.
