Hm.

Duckbounce decided that it was about time she should take Baypaw - her apprentice - out to do some training. She had promised she'd be an awesome mentor, and she definitely wanted to live up to that. And now here they were. On the training island. The molly wasn't 100% sure if they had been out here before, so she didn't do like... a grand introduction as she would have to a new apprentice.

Nonetheless, it was training time! "Oi! Oi! So... remember how you showed me those moves before? Yeah, ok, so now I can teach you more practical and useful moves!! How exciting is that? I bet you're pretty excited, aha!"

spiderpaw beamed when her paw collided with lionstar, letting out an involuntary exclamation of “HA!” bam! in his face! wooo! this was basically as good as winning.. but she had something to prove, so she couldn’t just leave it at that.

her mood was killed when lionstar shoved her, stumbling before she fell. wincing, spiderpaw was stuck in a very pin-able position, and she took a moment to breathe before attempting to wriggle away. she couldn’t lose after all of the smack talk!! nope, nah, that was not going to happen. she couldn’t let that happen. her pride couldn’t take that hit.

"You think you're going to beat me?" It was almost laughable! Lionstar was an absolute badass, at least in his eyes, he couldn't lose to some mere apprentice.

He huffed as she wiggled around on the ground, and he reached to pin her down, planning on pressing down with his weight to make it harder to get back up. "I think you've lost, Bugling." If she was pinned, this was over.

dayheart listened to beanie list thing after thing, smiling. that was a lot of training! look at beanie go! he was learning so much stuffs, the lil smartie. what a role model!! “oo! eveninglight? i know them! .. knew!” it’d been a couple of moons since he’d seen her around. oh well. “that’s a lotta training, though! that’s good!! nice!” he commented, pausing as beanpaw spoke. “m? what’s up?” dayheart replied, giving beanie a convivial smile. once beanpaw talked, dayheart nodded.

“oh! ‘s okay! you’re gonna beat people -- and me, probably -- up real good anyway!” dayheart reassured, aiming a couple of pats at beanpaw’s head. he believed in beanie! he could do it! it might take a lil bit more work, but beanpaw was totally awesome and dayheart was pretty sure the apprentice could do literally anything. for all he knew, beanie could fly. he wouldn’t be surprised! the dude was skilled in all aspects, and he was going to be a skilled fighter too! dayheart just knew it!

“come at me! hit me with your best moves! let’s see how you do — you got this!! wooo!”

“duh!! if not, then that just means you’ve been teachin’ me badly!” because that was totally how this worked.

aaaaa. she was stuckkkk. lionstar had her pinned and was adding extra weight to keep her down, and all she was doing — all she was able to do, to be fair — was flail and wriggle around in futile attempts to get herself out of this. okay, so maybe she’d been cocky, but.. lionstar had probably cheated. she just had to figure out how, and then she could claim victory. there was no way lionstar had properly won, right?? well, it made sense if he had,,,, and spiderpaw knew deep down that he probably had won legally,,, but she didn’t want to believe that, so she mentally accused him of cheating.

“maybe this time, ....cat! but. . . i’ll get you next time! just you wait! you’re goin’ down!”

spiderpaw would not rest until she won. lionstar had better watch his back!! he might’ve won this time, but she’d be back, and he’d totally lose. there was no way she would lose to lionstar a second time.

Lotuspaw sat down her pelt ruffling in the wind. Leaf-bare was close.
She looked around splashleap had called her for some training so far she had been more active in her life then her mentor.

Practically fluttering around as they walked, it was obvious that Baypaw was excited to finally be receiving some training. With a few more hops, they leaped the small stream near the training island, feet pressing down into the warm sand. Cool! They were finally here!

Wiggling from the excitement, they tried their best to sit still as Duckbounce explained what they'd be doing. Wait, more practical and useful? Baypaw frowned. Hmph. "I mean, yeah, I'm super duper hyped, but I thought you said the moves I showed you were already awesome! How could a normal old move that everyone else already uses beat that?"
