Flameleaf padded over to the fresh kill pile to take a mouse to eat, then stopped when she realized how small the pile was. more warriors need to go and hunt, the pile is tiny. There won't be enough prey for everyone! she stood there for a moment, thinking. More patrols need to go out and hunt, at this rate not many cats will eat.

Noticing a cat standing near her Acornstripe turned. "Hello. I'm Acornstripe!" She sat down near the new cat and began to lick her paw.

Flameleaf jumped at the sound of Acornstripe's voice. She turned to face Acornstripe and nodded. "Hello, I'm Flameleaf," she meowed. "The fresh kill pile is pretty low." Flameleaf glanced at the fresh kill pile. "I was gonna go hunting, wanna come?"

"Yeah it is pretty low isn't it..." Acornstripe stopped for a moment to glance at the pile. "I would love to go hunting." Acornstripe quickly got to her paws.

Flameleaf followed Acornstripe out of the tunnel. I hope we find some prey, she thought. The kill pile is low and if we dont find enough prey theñ warriors will start to starve, and if the warriors start to starve then there won't be enough cats for patrol, and if there's not enough warriors for patrol's then the fresh kill pile will never be restored and the clan will starve! Flameleaf was suddenly lost in thought. So we have to make sure that doesn't happen! She was so lost in thought that she began flexing her claws.
