Wildkit
RiverClan Kit ⯎ He/Him ⯎ 5 moons "I've got these demons, they keep screaming"
Wildkit tipped his head in confusion. Hadn't she heard him? Oh well, at least she knew he was there. I wanna visit my dad. He mewed boldy, raising his head. To be honest, he had no idea where he'd find Branch, and no idea how he'd get across the huge space of RiverClan territory. Plus, Mistybreeze would get mad at him. I only met him when I was born. He explained, gazing up at his leader for her reaction.
{ @Marigoldwhisper - Lol the little thing }
Ooh, Pikekit jumped a little at the sound of the leader’s voice. He hadn’t realised she was in here. ”Aye leader!” Pikekit squeaked with a surprising resemblance to Owlstar’s voice, a grin growing. ”I’ve been exploring EVERYWHERE, this is the only place I haven’t visited yet! It’s so big in here”
Berryshine shook her head, giving her leader an apologetic look. All the right questions... and too little of an opportunity to answer them as clearly as they'd need.
"No... Tigerfire told me it was just out in the territory, s-so I'd assume the general forest, rather than any landmarks. U-Unfortunately, she couldn't tell me much else except that it was this weird... stuff that tied a-around her paw. Almost like brambles, but not sharp, and s-she could chew through it." It wasn't too helpful, but it was all that the medic knew. (How else could a cat describe rope when she hadn't seen it? Maybe it just wouldn't be a problem... hopefully...)
"W-With what information we have... it just seems like something t-to keep an eye on. I can try asking Tigerfire for more information, later... s-she was rather tired, so I let her sleep," the medic explained, giving a small shrug. "A-And get her to give specifics, if she can... J-Just wanted to make sure I told you right away, so our warriors can be aware..."

The silverish warrior had slowly made her way towards the leader's den. After being well rested from her wreck of a journey and chased to the ends of earth, Floodsight was definitely feeling a lot better. A huge weight was lifted off her shoulders after coming into the safety of the clan once more. To be sheltered, fed, and cared for as she would them. And it would be about time to be back to being a warrior, but first off...she'd wanted to speak with Owlstar.
After contemplating enough for what she'll say, the long furred she-cat had made her way down. Floodsight had paused for a moment when she'd reached the entrance, just for a quick breather before swallowing down any jitters that had plagued her mind. Sunheart probably past on the news of her return and with her recent recovery, Floodsight thought it would be good to stop by.
"Owl...star," Floodsight began, pausing slightly before continuing, "May I come in?"

A purr rumbled in Primroseadder's throat at Owlstar's congratulations. ''Thank ya, Owlstar. I haven't...I haven't told Freezin'fury yet, so I would appreciate it if this didn't make its way ta his ears at the moment,'' the queen shouldered her way into the den, sitting back on her haunches. ''If you're okay with it, I was hopin' that Adderstrike could take on Flickerpaw's trainin' for a little while, just until my kits are either old enough ta take care of 'emselves 'n listen ta the other queens, or until they're made apprentices. Flickerpaw isn't like Mosslight, 'n he's a bit more...difficult, ta say the least.''
Her whiskers twitched. '''N by difficult, I mean that he was ignorin' my orders. When I took 'im ta see the ThunderClan border at Smallpines, a ThunderClanner was there, 'n they were indulgin' each other. I wasn't happy with Flickerpaw 'n assigned 'im ta elders' duty for a moon, without help. Told 'im that the only cat he could ask for stuff from was Berryshine, as she's the cat with the mouse bile, 'n whatever else he needed ta take care of the elders.''
Primroseadder's large ears flicked. ''Flickerpaw's a good apprentice, Owlstar, but he thinks he knows everythin' already. 'm ready ta start callin' 'im Mr. Know-It-All if he doesn't start listenin' ta me,'' the queen gave a wave of her tail. '''m askin' for Adderstrike 'cause not only was she my mentor, but I know that she'll keep Flickerpaw on his paws 'n in his place. I plan on askin' 'er, too, but I wanted ta get your thoughts first.''
[ @Marigoldwhisper | Owlstar ; i'm too lazy to make two separate interactions in this post, so i'm just going to say that prim left off-screen for the other one ^^ also, mountainspring post coming up ]

She, Her\Leader\51 moons\Riverclan
"My pulse is clear, rushing through my ears."
Owlstar nodded at her first request. While she didn't have kits of her own, well, not yet hopefully, she knew why Primroseadder would want to keep it a surprise. She just hoped the initial shock wouldn't boil over into something terrible. But, Owlstar kept her thoughts to herself.
Then, like a switch was flipped, Owlstar straightened up. It's not like she didn't believe in troubling apprentices, they certainly existed. However, the Thunderclan border meeting was new to her ears. She gave a flick of her tail, eyes narrowing. "Aye lass, when did that 'appen?" Owlstar said evenly. It was enough of an issue for Owlstar to punish the apprentice herself, infact, she should. But, Owlstar wouldn't cry over past actions, she'd scold harshly however. Borders weren't made for chatting, they were made for order.
As for Adderstrike training the apprentice? Owlstar didn't mind if. Her own personal view point of Adderstrike's character had changed since she came to her den with such a terrible proposal, but Owlstar knew she was capable of training anycat and nicely dedicated. "Ain't got no complaints." she leader mewed. "However, if ya really 'ave problems with yer apprentice in the future, bring Flickerpaw ta my den." she then gestured towards the exit, giving Primroseadder the okay to leave.
Dizzybug padded in excitedly. They’d found the perfect gift for the leader! Fortunately, it wasnt a fishing spider molt like the one he’d found once that.. hadn’t gone down well with the other warriors in camp. It was.. a great big heron skull they’d found on a stroll that morning! Who or whatever killed the thing must’ve been pretty strong. It was gorgeous — perfect to give to such an esteemed member of the clan!
Suddenly, they spoke once they’d spotted the leader.
“Oh, Owlstar! Hello! Hi! I’ve got a gift for you — it’s a bird skull I found! No clue how it died, but whatever finished the job must’ve been pretty strong,” they mewed happily, nudging the big bony lump toward the tabby.
Owlstar was ready to cut the air with her words, seeing how Dizzybug waltzed in uninvited, but what the cat held made the words grow slack in her throat, air never given to her sharp tongue.
She stared for a moment, battered maw slowly falling in gape whilst a wide smile spread across her maw. She had no words, no meaningful ones. Stars, it was absolutely beautiful. The leader prodded a careful claw at it, her memory faintly lifting to Stormstar. She remembered the smokey she-cat questioning her about the fox skull she'd found on a patrol once, interested in bones just as she was. It was a bittersweet memory, one filled with joy at the finding of a kindred spirit, and the sharp pain of Stormstar's passing.
It made Owlstar still, wracked with grief for longer than she would've liked. Owlstar wasn't one to put up a front, but she also wasn't one to act weak and vulnerable when her clan needed somecat strong. Her sadness was evident in the air, mingling with her joy. Owlstar blinked back tears before looking up at Dizzybug, smiling so wide it hurt her scarred face. She was somewhat glad, glad that she found another cat who shared her passion for the bones of any animal her claws and jaws could tear apart. Dizzybug sure was an odd one, but boy, if this was considered odd, Owlstar didn't mind it.
"Ah chap, whata find!" she chirped, a laugh fringing her words. She wasn't exactly troubled from what might've killed the heron. Those birds were as brittle as they were strong, yet Owlstar had never thought to take it's skull as a trinket. Ha, what an idiot she was. She traced the milky white and red toned surface with a bloodstained claw. "Where'd ya find it, eh? Thank ya."

"My pulse is clear, rushing through my ears."
Just from the way the words formed in the kits mouth, she could tell that their dad was an outsider, and that Wildkit themselves might've been a former one. The bulky she-cat lowered her head to her paws, looking the kit in the eye whilst at their level.
She twitched her tail, wondering how she should word this. "Seein' 'em depends on if he's in the clan 'er not. I'm guessing he ain't, eh?" she shifted her weight. "Ain't nothin' ta be ashamed a. But, ya probably won't see yer dad, 'er visit 'em." Especially now. Even if for the sake of a family meet up or reconnection, it wouldn't even be considered. Outsiders were truly pushing their luck here, and it was getting on her nerves. However, she forced her fur to lay flat despite the frustration that prodded at her.
The only thing she was truly considered about is this conversation however was how well Wildkit would take it.
It’s so big in here”
To say she was startled would be the understatement of the century. Owlstar was immediately put off hearing her own accent and voice come out of another's maw so easily, like her voice was always Pikekit's. The leader blinked before she smiled, still looking a good amount of confused. "Yer an odd one, ain't cha?" she titled her head slightly.
She recalled hearing about cats who did this, mimicking others voices like crovids or lybirds did with two-legs. Truly an odd experience, something Owlstar did not recommend. She began to wonder how anycat gained that ability or if they were just born with it. Huh. Weird talent. But hey, Owlstar wasn't much better as a child, she'd chase around seagulls just to get them to molt from panic. Hal she still did, they deserved it anyways.
The scarred tabby gave a shrug. "Eh, ya get used ta the size chap. But the cats that come in 'ere with their concerns? That's somethin' ya don't forget."

Owlstar thought intently, brows knit together in a weirdly puzzled scowl. She wasn't upset or anything, that was just her face. Wrinkle lines deepened across her features as she thought, ears pinning against her skull. She then gave a sigh. She was trying to think back to anything she saw in her life that seemed similar, but she couldn't think of any trap that was easy enough to chew through. Must've been really fragile, but dangerous enough to snag.
Owlstar looked up to Berryshine and smiled lopsidedly. "Al'ight squirt, can always count on ya." she gave the brown molly a nod. "If ya could get anymore details from Tigerfire, I'd appreciate it. I'd hate ta 'ave ta fight 'em two-legs along with outsiders, but stars above, I'll rake all a 'em inta the dirt if I 'ave ta." she offered the anxious medic a reassuring smile. "Yer free ta go."

Hm, that was a voice she certainly hadn't heard in awhile. Owlstar perked upwards from her mossbed, eyes heavy from the nap she'd just granted herself. She swallowed back any yawns and forced out her words. Her tone seemed to hold no evidence of her slumber, if anything there was only a slight drag to them. "Aye, Floodsight. C'mon in gal."

Dizzybug’s face was suddenly plastered with an excited grin. Owlstar loved their gift! “Found it in Lionsbeach! Quite a find, hm? I think bones are some of the coolest little things. They are, yeah?” he rambled happily. Dizzybug loved bones. And bugs, and funny plants, and- oh, Dizzy just LOVED trinkets. Collecting was the highlight of their day!
Suddenly, they noticed that Owlstar looked.. a bit sad? Well, that just could not do! Sad cats were the WORST!!! BECAUSE THEY WERE SAD!!!
“Y’alright, Owlstar?” he chirped nervously.

Pikekit plopped his haunches down to sit, amused by the confusions he’d unravelled with his voice. ”Hmmm concerns?” Pikekit supposed that meant he must have to have a reason for his visit here today. ”Well um my concern is that my brothers are pretty smelly, they tried to escape from mama Wisty when it was bath time, can you tell them off please?” It was full of earnest, Pikekit had no problem trying to get them into trouble. In fact he found it rather humorous.

Primroseadder nodded, her whiskers twitching. ''I will. Thank ya, Owlstar. It's appreciated.'' Dipping her head to her leader, Primroseadder exited the den, slipping into the shadows.
