Sootfur smiled warmly at Minnowkit. Her manners were always kind and respectful. He liked that.
Pebblekit, on the contrary, was always moving around and asking questions. Thank Starclan he was focused enough on the subject, unlike Acornkit.

He chuckled at her first silly question, but he was glad she was genuinely interested in this and it was clear that she was doing her best to keep focused. He closed his eyes and remembered the last memory of the previous gathering. The image of the black tom talking with Flameheart, his eyes lighting up in interest... Of course he didn't like him. Maybe he should've tried to join them and meet the stranger... Well, no need to have regrets about that now.

So... I think this may be over now. Wait... Icekit had not spoken yet.
Sootfur approached the shy she-kit and bent slightly down on her. "Icekit, do you have any more questions? Is it everything clear?"

Icekit meowed brightly "YES SIR! I'M GONNA PRACTICE BEING A WELL MANNERED FELINE!" she then flushed "oops... yellings not nice is it?"

Whenever this kit went back to sleep, he was sneaking out right away. The fact that the kit was smiling insulted Alderstep. Had she been faking? "Go sleep or something," he snapped. This was so bad. He didn't want to make any impressions on a kit but here he was in the nursery probably just doing that. His pelt burned harder with shame and embarrassment. He still couldn't leave the worry that someone, or anyone, would see him in here and laugh or go run and spread rumors. Alderstep could feel his reputation falling already. He glared at the kit. This was all her fault. Stupid creature.

You look a bit down and dont think i couldnt see you looking at your father like that i wont tell anyone but know this whatever it is he will always be your father he loves you and you should treat him with respect he is your deputy and your father!Now ill show you somthing special to cheer you up on patrol!!

Sneaky Alderstep (hah, ShadowClan would be jealous) slunk away, hoping her eyes would be too clouded or whatever with sleep to notice. Not that he was going to stick around any longer. He really should've let the kit cry...the initial guilt would've dissipated soon enough. Maybe something was wrong with him. Maybe he needed more sleep since he kept making poor decisions. If he kept acting like this...Alderstep didn't know what, but it felt bad. It felt like change that was most certainly in the wrong direction.

Gingerkit mewed loudly as her mother licked her fur. She was hungry! She started crawling around until she found her mothers warm belly. She quickly started drinking milk.

Finally, when she was completely full she searched for the warmth of her siblings and curled up when she found it. Quickly dozing off.
