Like he tried to keep between him and that ShadowClan cat. “I met her at the border -“ He took a moment to figure out the words, leaving a gap of silence that he was beginning to find to be characteristic of his manner of speaking. “She told me about ThunderClan and RiverClan.” There were others too but he couldn’t recall them - he knew ShadowClan, of course, but he didn’t know about them.
He tipped his head to the side as the ThunderClanner continued speaking, proposing to him a question. A permanent change. That was an interesting thought - was anything really permanent? Ro supposed he didn’t even know change until that day the twolegs tossed him into these woods and left him to wander. Could things change more? And could they stay like that forever? For some reason, the thought of that stability, of no more change, sounded nice.
But what did he have to offer? He was good at catching rats, and evading dogs. He could catch crickets very well too! Regardless of what he could do, he always intended on helping in return. That’s how things worked right? People helped you, and then you helped them. “I want to help ThunderClan.. if they can help me. I can hunt,” stars, he didn’t know why but he was feeling terribly self-conscious now. “A change… a permanent one. Sounds nice, I think. I do not like things changing all the time - I want to stay somewhere.” He really, really did. For all the wonder the forest had brought, the fear and uncertainty were worse. He was tired of stepping on eggshells just to live. Though he supposed that was the one thing that hadn’t changed from the junkyard.
Hmmm... Perhaps this cat would stick around then...
Green eyes stared into the stranger's own searchingly for a few moments before the tan molly finally stepped back with a curt nod.
"Then a permanent change you shall have," she stated before turning back towards camp and flicking her tail in the direction she turned for the tom to follow. "You shall be given a new name and a mentor to teach you our ways at the next clan meeting. For now, if anycat questions your presence or confronts you for your scent you may tell them that Sparrowstar has allowed you entry into Thunderclan."
"Now come. Let me show you your new home."
[ Done! I shall add them to the Allegiances after the meeting so I can announce their name ]

Frowning at the returning warrior, Sparrowstar merely flicked a tail over her shoulder towards the direction of the camp entrance.
"Then I expect you to return to your duties posthaste," she stated, ears flicking irritably as she spoke. "You can start by checking in on the queens to see if any of them are wanting for prey or fresh nests. Do not stray from Thunderclan's borders again Lynxtuft."

Thunderclaw stood stoutly,"I am willing to accept any punishment. I love thunderclan and all the cats here, but if my punishment is to be banished then I will accept. I have no great excuse." He bowed his head, trying to look brave but his tail may have betrayed him by twitching.
Brow furrowing slightly at the tom's words, Sparrowstar let him finish before responding.
"You are lucky that it's Leafbare Thunderclaw, or I may have taken you up on that seeing as you don't seem to wish to reveal the reason for your disappearance. However, seeing as our clan still needs to be fed this season, you will be given one chance."
"You may return home, but I expect you to catch three pieces of prey before I see you in camp. Fail to do so, and I expect you to leave and sort out your priorities."
[ Thunderclaw has been removed from the missing list. Please makea post where he catches 3 pieces of prey in ThC territory before continuing normal RP ]

"Oh, thank the skies," he breathed out. "Please, I need your help! My name is Snake. I was abandoned by my housefolk, I- I can't survive out here on my own. I've been chased away by every other rogue I've asked for assisstance, and one of them let slip that there was a big group around here."
A pair of cuts threw red lines over the gray fur of his face, blue eyes pleading as he stared up at Sparrowstar. "Whatever you want me to do, I- I'll do it. I can be useful, I swear."
Blinking slowly at the seemingly frantic cat as he pleaded for Thunderclan's help. Desperation was certainly a fearsome motivator...
"You would be useful, hmmm?" she stated, rising to her paws and stretching out on her branch before quickly leaping down from her perch to join the stranger on the ground. "Tell me kittypet, what skills do you have to offer Thunderclan?"

A long lost clanmate, returned from twoleg-place... However, the mention of her sister's name caused a brief pang of sorrow to echo throughout her chest.
"Cinderstar now resides with our ancestors in Silverpelt," she stated carefully, attempting to keep her voice even. "And I have taken her place as Thunderclan's leader... Seeing as your mother was the one to take you away from the clan, I will allow you back in but you will have to complete your training Dapplepaw. I will assign you a mentor at the next meeting."

If Dovefluff wasn't so exhausted, she might eventually get upset from being referred to as if she wasn't present. As "the ShadowClan cat". But she didn't want to risk upsetting the fiery ginger molly, or even the calm gray tabby beside her. She couldn't risk anything. Ugh, but she was so tired of having to always walk on eggshells. In ShadowClan, because everyone around her were psychopaths, at the Gathering, even in her own family unit in her youth, where the slightest crease of a forehead would result in screaming and fighting and... other things.
Even though the bruises no longer patched her flesh, and her ears no longer rang from her mother's cruel language, and her eyes and throat no longer stung from sobbing and crying for them to stop, Dovefluff could still feel the tingle where her mother had struck her. Her brain still repeated the obscenities her father had snarled in her face.
These memories were the reason why she had the fight or flight reaction to Flameheart's anger. Fight, because some loyal tug in her told her to not leave Sootfur alone, because anger surely meant violence, but then she recalled the love he had spoken of between him and his mate at the Gathering. No. He... he didn't have the look in his eyes. She would recognize a kindred spirit.
"Thank you. T-thank you." She murmured, lowering her head shakily to Flameheart, then she turned to Sootfur. "Thank you for... for getting me here." Whether or not she would make the journey worth it was coming down to her talk with the tan tabby leader. Anxiety thrilled in her paws, and she turned away from the two mates quickly, for fear they would see the tears welling in her eyes.
Her wet, deep blue eyes looked at the sky briefly as she made her way to sit in camp. She could sense the.. the passion and care and love between the two cats, even with the fury that filled Flameheart. It... it was enviable. "Oh StarClan.... please be with me." She choked out, blinking the tears away from her now bloodshot eyes, round and full belly now swaying awkwardly as she wearily took a seat near the camp entrance. "Oh StarClan..... oh please, please be with me." This next prayer was a mere breath as the shaky queen tried to make herself look non-threatening as her stinging eyes darted around. Hopefully, the shadows held the ThunderClan leader.
And hopefully, the leader was as kind and fair as Sootfur had described.
Padding out of camp to meet the Shadowclan queen that Sootfur had previously spoken on, Sparrowstar was mildly apprehensive to see exactly what kind of cat her young warrior had deemed welcome amongst Thunderclan's ranks. Imagine her surprise to see a practically quaking she-cat sitting outside the camp entrance with Sootfur and Flameheart in tow.
"Dovefluff, I presume?" she stated, tone cordial as she carefully softened her expression slightly at the obviously scared queen. "Sootfur told me that you wished to seek a new home for you and your kits... should I be expecting a mate as well, or is this more of a fresh-start situation for yourself?"

What she was doing was not good, and she needed to make sure that the clan knew she was okay. "Uh... Miss SparrowLeaderCat?" she mewed.
One eye cracking open as a small voice called to her in the clearing, Sparrowstar quickly made her way out from her den to see Shinekit standing sheepishly before her.
"Now where have you been Shinekit?" she questioned, giving the young cat a quick look over and sniff to make sure they weren't injured.
Riversplash went towards ThunderClan, glad to be home again. His blue and white fur was slightly damp and fluffed up.
"Riversplash!"
Sparrowstar's voice echoed out into the clearing as she caught sight of the returning warrior.
"Where have you been?"

The tan molly almost stumbled over the small kit as she went to start a solo hunting excursion. Head tilting at the little one as they quietly apologized, Sparrowstar tilted down to give them a gentle nudge inside before responding.
"You are forgiven Petalkit, but now you know why we do not let kits out of camp. You are lucky to not have been injured... Now go, head back on into the nursery."

Padding back into camp with a slightly wind-swept pelt from her run, Sparrowstar swiftly padded over to the Thunderwillow before giving her chest a few well placed licks in an attempt to make herself slightly more presentable.
There were a few things that needed to be sorted out today, so without further delay she leapt up to her usual branch and cleared her throat before issuing her summons.
"Let all those old enough to scale the trees gather for a clan meeting!"
alderstep

thunderclan
russet tabby w/ white paws, green eyes
Oh, how convenient! Just as he'd been walking into camp, Sparrowstar had called a meeting! Or unlucky. Alderstep didn't really enjoy these much anymore. He padded over quickly and sat down, curling his fluffy tail neatly over his paws. What now?
//Image will not be added right now, I’m on mobile\\
The young Keeper padded forward toward the Thunderwillow, somewhat eager to hear what Sparrowstar had to say. She had heard of her adoptive sister’s death as well as Cloudyflight’s and wished them well on the journey to the starry skies.
Rainpaw
Nothing except numbness was present in his face. His eyes were glazed in everlasting sadness that would haunt his dreams for moons to come. He didn’t even want to show up to this meeting. What’s the point anyway? She’s just going to announce death… and I don’t want to think about how Quietpaw put herself in harms way… he sighed and sat down far from his father’s spot on the great tree. The feathery furred tom was one of the last cats on his mind.

Oriolepaw was awoken by the call of Sparrowstar for a Clan meeting. He blinked a few times, clearing the sleep out of his eyes. Wasn't it rather late for a meeting?
It had been some time since he'd last attended a Clan meeting, so he definitely wanted to go to this one. Various circumstances had kept him from the past two; however, the news that had been announced at both had eventually reached his ears either way.
Getting to his paws, he limped out of the apprentices' den and sat down not far from it. He didn't have the energy at this point to walk to his normal spot; he hoped Sparrowstar would understand.

Rowanblaze and Mossykit
——————
Rowanblaze padded over and sat down having a feeling something was off but he couldn’t tell what but just sat there and waited for the meeting thinking was this about something sad probably or something nicer I hope it’s something nicer. Mossykit meanwhile sat next to Rowanblaze as he wanted to know what was going on but Rowanblaze was nervous about this but he let him listen

A sigh left the little she-kit. Her gaze watched the others bounce around and play. She wasn't sure what to do.
Pinekit
Pinekit warily approached her, not knowing if he really should. He'd only opened his eyes maybe a week ago and was still new to the world. However, he was bored and wanted something to do.
Of all the things Ro had imagined when he was being led to ThunderClan, he had not expected the sheer noise of it all. He thought he knew loudness from hearing the dogs at the junkyard bark, or the twolegs tossing those large shiny sheets around, but both of those were nothing compared to the overlapping chattering which pounded at his ears as cats gathered for the meeting.
It was claustrophobic, almost, to be in such a large crowd and he found himself slipping his way to the edge of the clowder, trying desperately to avoid the uncomfortable sensation of others' pelts brushing against his own. He tried to watch Sparrowstar, though he was much too far from the big tree now to clearly make out her figure. Instead she was just a beige blob on the branches that now blurred together.
His breath caught in his throat, perplexing him, and he dug his claws in the soil in an attempt to sooth himself. The blackbirds in his chest were beginning to rustle their wings once more, and he hoped they wouldn't try to take flight. His gaze flicked to his paws and locked on one of the scars that ran up his foreleg, a thin slice which had resulted from grazing himself against one of the large shiny sheets at the junkyard - turns out they had sharp edges. He'd rather notice anything, really, than the sheer commotion that was happening around him.
[ @Poprock - i think this takes place pre-ptsd pebble since jay would have likely referenced the border fight in their post. ]
