Echosong's ears perked up as she heart Flameheart call her name. Ah, it had been a while since she had been assigned a patrol. Perhaps this would be a good opportunity to stretch her legs. Shadowclan border? I can do that. She thought with a brief nod toward the younger warrior. Even better it seemed her new apprentice would be tagging along. The molly sat and waited for the others to arrive.
Darkpetal's large ears flicked as he listened to Flameheart assign patrols. Herondive Hollow... with-- ROSERAVEN?! Well, he knew that he, along with Asterdance and Echosong, would help Roseraven to the best of their abilities

"Do you and Barley have kits?" - Bella
Sparrowpelt rose up to his paws where his true size was more apparent. He was larger than the typical ThunderClan warrior, which wasn't really a great thing when trying to work through the underbrush. "Let's go, let's go!" the warrior spoke with a wave of his tail, following the russet warrior towards the entrance. "Where do you want to try hunting at?" he inquired.
Once he was up and moving, he could feel his muscles ready to work. He was getting warmed up now. "The Clan could really use the prey before we get another big winter storm," he spoke, mostly to himself, but also towards the other warrior.
Alderstep inwardly cringed. Nope, the sparrow was as talkative as a finch. Ouch. He flicked his fluffy tail at the other warrior, who was...well, a big cat. Perhaps bigger than Alderstep despite his fluffiness. Really, the tom was more useful for fighting than he was for hunting. With a moment of hesitation, the russet tabby answered, "Willow's Rise sounds fine."
Despite the fact that it was a gravesite, it'd be a good place to reap some fresh-kill. That, and Alderstep had always planned on visiting that place sometime soon. He glanced at Sparrowpelt, wondering if the tom shared his opinion. Not that it mattered or anything. He didn't need the affirmation.
He looked like a flower?? At that Sandkit's entire body started to vibrate it seemed, a weird and strange - yet at the same time welcome - sound being emitted from deep within him. Bouncing happily on his bottom the young tom smiled gleefully at the warrior, unable to hold back his spurts of giggling. He was a flower! Oh, he'd have to tell Mama and Sister about this! He was not just a cat, he was a cat-flower! A caflower! Hmm, was that a word?
Listening to the warrior talk more, pale yellow eyes wide with wonder as he watched him through the entrance, Sandkit found that he was struck with a sharp sensation of want when the big cat explained he had seen lots of them. "Oh, golly," he breathed, eyes as big as two round big puddles now. He couldn't wait to be the same size as this big cat! Maybe then Mama would let him go out and look for flowers.
But the thorns? The ones on the camp wall were also flowers?? Tilting his head back the young kit reached a small paw up to try and touch one of them, but they were too high for him to reach. During his efforts the familiar voice of his sister appeared next to him and forgotten were the brambles. He once again emitted the same rumbling sound and nuzzled her cheek. "Sister! Did you know I'm a flower? He said so!" Pointing a paw wildly in the direction of the warrior, it was then Sandkit realized he didn't know their name. "Erm, sorry mister, but what's your name?" Head falling to the side as his inquisitive gaze landed on the warrior just beyond the camp entrance.
Sootfur couldn't help but let out a purr at the cheerful kit's squeaks. Oh, my... there's still much that can make me smile, even in the darkest moments. He found himself wishing that this moment could last forever - a peaceful life, just how it was supposed to be, where kits played and warriors came back safely to camp with enough prey for everyone. If only...
Suddenly another face was peeking out of the camp wall. Another pair of bright yellow eyes was staring at him. "Oh-oh, looks like we have another pretty flower here, don't we?" He purred warmly at the curiosity that animated these little young cats. Oh, they're sisters so, uhm? What a nice little couple.
The gray tabby smiled at the new arrival, but it seemed that he had forgotten to mention one important detail. "Wait!" He sunk his muzzle in the opening to stop the first kit from reaching the thorns, which thankfully weren't positioned at their same level. "Thorns are very sharp, like a full grown warrior's claws." He warned them, at the same time replying to the second kit's previous question. They are so young... I'd forgotten how little of the world they know yet.
Luckily, their focus was then switched back to him so he stepped a little back to give them a proper presentation. She called me mister... He chuckled to himself at the kit's weird ways. "My name is Sootfur, young ones. Would you like to tell me yours?" He glanced at the two sisters with amused, but genuinely interested gray eyes.
RUSSETKIT
tiny, fluffy she-cat with red fur and yellow eyes. she/her
Russetkit felt a tiny rumble rise in her throat as Sandkit nuzzled her cheek. A flower? That sounds lovely! She looked up at the warrior, eyes wide with wonder, and a wide grin pulled at her lips with his words. She was a flower as well! A pretty flower, just like Sandkit! Happiness bubbled within the little kit, only to turn into a squeak as Sandkit was stopped from touching the thorns.
"As sharp as a warriors claws? That's really sharp!" she responded, mouth agape in shock. One day, though, she'd have claws as sharp and fierce as thorns! Russetkit would be the biggest, strongest warrior in the entire Clan, and then she'd be able to touch thorns without getting hurt! She'd be as tough as a leader someday. Maybe she'd even be the leader! Or her and Sandkit could be leaders together, with their mama Sorreldust as their deputy! Russetstar and Sandstar, leading ThunderClan together, making it the best Clan ever! Russetkit bounced on her paws at the thought, excitement coursing through her.
With the warrior's introduction, she lit up. Sootfur was such a cool name, she wanted to have a name like that! With her tail waving back and forth, the tiny she-cat exclaimed, "my name is Russetkit! I dunno what a russet is, but I like my name!"
Thinking back to the pretty flowers her and Sandkit were referred to as, she blinked curiously. "Mister Sootfur, can you tell us more about flowers? I wanna know about all the flowers there are!"
@Apollo. - @sol.
Upon hearing his name being called, Woodpaw looked around for Violetslash and his mentor, Honeybee. The thought of going on patrol did not thrill him, but patrols had to be done otherwise the clan might starve. He couldn't see either of his patrol mates.
