The tom stared at the fresh kill pile seeing some squirrel, "Grab me a squirrel." The tom's low growly country voice answered. His tail curled into his paws, his skinny, yet long ears perked.

Shadowpaw blinks at Larkwing's unsteady answer. Oh. She was fine? She didn't look fine, but oh well, she did say she was fine, so..

"Oh," Shadowpaw blinked again. "Okay!" The she-cat returns the smile, though it was much less forced and shaky. "Sooooo, what've you been up to? Warrior things?" She scoffed at herself at the last part. "I know it sounds really really annoying, listening to kits asking if warriors do... Warrior stuff. Well, I'm not like 'em! Trust me"

Shadowpaw let out a laugh, tail curling around her hind paws.

The tom's eyes gleamed with sadness. Yes he was smart and brave, but he meant well, the tom huffed. He couldn't tell where his boy was. "Hmph!" The tom thought long and hard, wondering if his son was still alive. He got on his paws and stormed off to his leader's den with some questions.

Luckily, Shadowpaw didn't seem to doubt her, and somehow that made Larkwing feel even worse. Like she sucked and was the scum of the earth for simply... telling a white lie to an apprentice who didn't need to listen to the troubles of a cat more than twice her age. The question of what warrior duties she's been up to... that stings a little bit. She hasn't been able to preform any of her warrior duties, too injured to do much more than pace the clearing once. And... it'll be a long while until she's able to be back to regular duties.

"Oh, ahh.... I haven't been uh, able to do my duties lately," There's an anxious, self-deprecating laugh at that. "It'll be um, be a while before I can get back to regular duties."

Seabreeze grabbed a random fish from the prey pile and made his way to the side of the clearing to stop and watch and eat. It was a strange thing, eating, you didn't realize how easy it was to forget something so important until you find all of your ribs showing through your pelt. He laughed lolwy under his breath, as though he had just told a funny joke, but there was nothing really funny about that besides Seabreeze's pathetic-ness. No, that wasn't what he needed to be thinking. He needs to get rid of those thoughts to be a good warrior! What other things did Seabreeze do back when he was 'good.' He was more social, which was saying a lot, but recently Seabreeze has set the bar so low that it was a tripping hazard for even Dark Forest cats.

So rather than sitting alone in some shaded corner the blue-grey tom decided to branch out and sit by some apprentice. Or at least, they seemed to be an apprentice, but maybe they were shorter or younger or both warrior. Who was he to judge after all. He dropped the fish and sat down, but before he started to actually eat he decided to instead spark conversation and pray to the stars that he has started to waver in belief in, that this cat was conversational, because Seabreeze was bad at this stuff and being carried through social interaction seemed like the best course of action for this to go well. A cat could only hope, and for a cat like Seabreeze, he can only dread. No wait, bad thought.

Wildfoxglove's eyes glimmered in the sunlight as she was gazing at the white clouds. "Look at these puffy clouds! They're. Just. Light!" She thought.

She heard a movement from her left side and her gaze shifted to Seabreeze. Wildfoxglove then thought, "Is that...Seabreeze? He must be a Lionheart." She looked at the clouds again before soon realizing that she should converse with him.

The young warrior jerked her head towards Seabreeze and happily meowed, "Hello! You must be Seabreeze, right? My name is Wildfoxglove."
