Somewhere in the midst of attaching himself to his sister, Sandkit was aware of unfamiliar paws reaching in and grabbing ahold of her face. An instinctual hiss drew from him and he lifted his head, tiny kitten paw attempting to swat away at the intruder. "Go away leave her alone!" he spat, before realizing it was the bigger cat. Guilt flooded him and his eyes went round, ears back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it..." Sniffling a bit Sandkit just stuck close beside his sister, trying not to cry.
Soon enough it appeared that his sister was alright, which was a huge relief to him. A shaky sigh left him and he nuzzled her once more. "I'm glad you're okay. I'm sorry I pushed you earlier, Russy." He hoped that he hadn't been the cause of any of her pain. He looked at her, the attempts of a grin coming up onto his face. Then, for good measure, he reached forward and swiped his tongue across her forehead in familial affection before bumping his head against hers.
Oh, that new cat was the new healer? He didn't know what a healer was, but it must be important. And she was talking about not leaving them behind. Maybe this Cinderpaw was alright. Sandkit shot her an apologetic smile as he continued to lean against Russetkit. "I think you're gonna do great," he offered, yellow eyes bright as he nodded his head up and down.
Another bigger cat was speaking and - woah. The new Clan leader was his dad?? But... he didn't sound too excited. Sandkit knew if Mama was ever leader, he probably wouldn't stop grinning from ear to ear! That seemed so exciting, so whoop-de-doo good! So it was confusing why it wasn't the same here. Part of him wanted to pipe up about his question, but the cat soon went on so he remained silent. There were lots of words he didn't understand. Pregnant. Predator. Showing. Sandkit scrunched up his face in thought, wondering if they were just big cat words he'd learn later. Maybe he'd ask Mama about it too.
He went on about being smushed into a den, and something about it made him frown. But Sandkit knew being rude was not polite, and so he sat back on his comment on how if Crowpaw didn't want to share a den with all of them, well, then he could just leave! But the pout was evident on his face as he stared at the apprentice.
Then it was over and the older cat was leaving. Sandkit was secretly glad; he seemed in a sour mood and he didn't really want any part of it. All he wanted was a warm nest, his Mama, and his sister, and to forget that this night ever happened. Exhaustion drew his jaws apart in two massive yawns, body shaking out as the breath drew into his lungs.
Oh, more yelling! A yowling kit crying about how Sparrowstar died sent his heart a-flutter once more and Sandkit simply turned to bury his head into his sister. He wanted it to all stop. He wanted Mama. He wanted his nest in the nursery. A low whine came from him, a strange tickling feeling hugging the edges of his eyes. His head suddenly started hurting and his whole body felt weird. The pitiful whine continued, muffled by the fluff of Russetkit. Finally... he couldn't take it.
"C-Can you please s-stop it??" Pleading yellow eyes landed upon Acornkit and the two other older cats, nose sniffling. A combination of stress and the cold was getting to Sandkit, and the first tear fell. "Please. Just s-stop. P-Please." With a last whimper, the young tom drew in a shaky breath and stared at his paws. He felt so many things, it was overwhelming. His chest felt tight and his breathing was difficult. Was he sick? Another wheeze as he tried to draw in more air, legs shaking.
The other kit who had been dead but was now alive was talking, and Sandkit sniffled once more before doing his best to look up at her. She was talking about how she couldn't be Furkit anymore because they all had fur and it was unfair, and she was now known as Firekit. It was a nice name. Doing his best, the young tom let out a muffled chirp to get her attention before smiling softly. Another sniffle. "I like that name. My name is Sandkit, it's nice to meet you too." Hopefully they wouldn't start yelling like the other kitten had.
He just starred at the older kit with confusion. With his tiny brain he couldn't quite understand anything that was happening. He heard Thrushfur from outside talk to everyone, making him go to the entrance to the den, so he could watch. He wasn't going to miss anything. It might be important. "Our clans going to be okay right?", Wildkit meowed. He turned to look at anyone who caught his eye. He didn't care who answered as long as he got some kind of answer.

@Angelique
'Yes I saw it but no one talks to me, and I know what it is to do something embarrassing, so I wont tell. How long untill you can be an apprentice?
No one talked to her? That was sad. He'd talk to her. It wasn't like he had any friends anyway. "I have no clue. I'm two moons, so that would be 8 moons until then?", he meowed, getting the answered wrong. Wait or is it 6 moons? No it was actually only 4 moons. He wasn't good at math(if they knew what that was).

He'd tell every single kit not to mess with his tail. He really felt important here! He wanted to be helpful. He wanted to be like the warriors. It sounded like fun! Wait how come thinking of a warrior made him see himself as one. He imagined himself as a warrior, but there was a scar over his eye. Huh did he actually have one? He felt with his paws feeling nothing. Interesting? Snapping out of what was happening he heard Alderstep say his name. Okay it was Alderstep. He could remember that. He hoped. "Yeah! Your name is Alderstep. Alderstep. Alderstep. Alderstep.", Wildkit meowed with confidence. Wasn't that hard!

Feathernose padded into camp alone. "We did the patrol," she called out to Thrushfur, "though Gingerflight decided to take a stroll before coming back."

Not dead? OK, at least that was something, but then why was Thrushfur going to get his nine lives? They still had a leader, she was just... Not there right not. Surly she would come back? Or maybe they knew something Harefire didn't. Whatever the case, he would support Thrushfur.
Feathernose bowed her head. A missing leader, and a number of dead clanmates. Surly things could only go up from here?
Woodpaw growled. "Stupid two-legs!"

What brings you out of the nursery on this fine day?" she asked the kit, with a pleasant laugh. She'd been feeling sick earlier, but was able to walk again.
Midnightkit looked at the friendly she-cat and replied, “I just needed some air… especially after all the news.” Her head drooped a little before she snapped it back up, putting on a bright smile.
