spiderpaw padded up to her mentor. she had only now spotted her after letting her eyes wander over the crowd in boredom; she didn't really know any of these cats, but she guessed she should probably start learning. "heya dawncloud," she whispered. the cat wasn't really sure if she was allowed to talk out loud or not; it'd been so long & lionstar had yelled at some other fighting kits, and spiderpaw didn't want to get on his bad side. she sat down quietly, flapping around her fluffy, dusty tail everywhere.

They were late. They were late late late late late! Sassafrasfire hustles into the clearing from outside, notices the meeting taking place and without a second thought swerves to join the rest of their Clanmates as the ceremonies go on. Their fur was wet, either plastered to their flanks and tail or spiked out at all ends, and there was a little bit of sea grass draped over their shoulder. As they'd been late to the party, they hadn't the time or opportunity to find Ternsky, but their eyes dance over the gathered cats as they begin to feel more settled down.

The blue warrior turned at the soft sound of her name and gave a small smile to Spiderpaw as she joined them. The apprentice seemed to take a moment to score the area, looking at the cat around them. Perhaps in hopes to find someone she recognized.

"How have you been adjusting? It must feel like an entirely different clan to you at this point." she asked.

Like a kitten throwing a fit over not being allowed to do what she wanted. "Despite her foul attitude, I know you tried to train her well and I hope you can pass your skills onto Nightpaw. I believe his mentor has been.. very absent, so I don't imagine he has learned much, unfortunately.

"Finchpaw [ @Cecily Herondale], from this moment forth you'll be trained by Sootclaw [ @SilentLamb]. Sootclaw, you are young but formidable, and I trust your determination will be passed onto Finchpaw. Don't let her disappear on you, too-- last time I did a mentor reassignment she vanished." He considered it fair warning when she could be a flight risk.

"Softpaw [ @kittygirl], with Lightfeather's disappearance I am officially assigning Gentlethunder [ @Starbot] to be your full mentor. While I understand Firehawk has no interest in taking on another apprentice permanently, you may seek him out for additional training as well."

"And Ripplepaw [ @RedHead], I had high hopes Riverripple would suit you better, but as he has been a disappointment and hasn't turned up since the raid, I hereby am appointing Lilytail [ @FireSandwich] to be your new mentor. Lilytail, Tinypaw has disappeared along with many others, but I trust this will not discourage you from being the best mentor Ripplepaw could dream of."

Lionstar would pause for a moment, giving the cats time to greet each other before he went on.

"In addition, several kits have met the requirements to become an apprentice.

"Kits, when I call your name, come forward. If you fail to do so, you will not receive your new rank.

"Sunkit [ @Shimm], Fernkit [ @Flowstream], Almondkit [ @TeamInkBot], Dogkit [ @Lynxpaw], Duskkit [ @Stonewolf], Dawnkit [ @Dawneye], Smokekit [ @TeamRiverRipple], Turtlekit [ @Socks], Curlkit [ @Slushie], Stormkit [ @Pluto], Hivekit [ @Vessel], Beankit [ @elysian], and Silentkit [ @Elementals]."

He was curious to see how Maplekit would react to not being called. Even if the kit was quiet, Lionstar planned on informing the Clan of his behavior. And Berrypaw's, for that matter. He was quite displeased with both of them.

the she-cat returned the small smile. "it practically is an entirely different clan," spiderpaw replied. "the only cat i recognize from back in the day is lionstar. it feels so weird. it's like i'm back with the clan, but not really back with the clan. oh well. i'll get used to it." she twitched her ear, closing her mouth as the announcements continued. "so, how's life nowadays??" she inquired, taking a moment to glance up at the warrior. spiderpaw still missed oakflame; he'd been a great mentor; but dawncloud didn't seem half bad. she could get used to this.

( Both cats mentioned in this are open. ) Cloverwish was already in the clearing. She padded over to the Streamstone, sitting next to Snowcry. Snowcry looked over at Cloverwish, and smiled. She knew that Cloverwish was a trusted friend. They had been together since they were kits.

Gentlethunder hobbled out of the Medicine cat's den. It was getting easier to walk, wounds didn't hurt as much as they had been. He'd woken up halfway through the meeting, just in time to hear his name get called...along with that fiesty half Apprentice of his. Although now he supposed she was fully his Apprentice to train. If he was in any condition to train, that is.

Before he knew it, said squirt was sitting right in front of him. Quirking a brow at her snickering the Calliby aimed to gently bap her in the face with his good paw. Finding it hard to lift his other arm due to his shoulder injury. "Yes well this face, and this warrior is down and out for the time being.If you wanna learn how to be a good rock I'm your Tom, but other than teaching you how to keel over right now I've got nothing. I may take Lionbutt up on his offer about Firehawk." he thought aloud.

Hivekit looked up, curiosity etched into her face.

Who's that?

Why does he look funny?

Although she'd seen the tom on the rock before, it was only now that he called her name that the kit really noticed him.

The rest of the clan was paying rapt attention to the yellow cat- something she found rather odd. Normally groups of cats had only one leader, and Hivekit was pretty sure that the one here was Sootflare.

What is he doing?

Not really seeing any problem with asking, she called out;

"Who are you? Are you another leader? Isn't Sootflare in charge?"

The kit almost shouted the words.

Silentkit meowed, "I believe that it had to do with that old elder named Bubblingbee or something. I think Berrypaw was involved with something deeper. Yesterday, Berrypaw wanted to talk to me. What she really did was scare me off and I found a bone of Bubblingbee in her nest."
