Oh that's... that's bad.
She is very, very dead.
Oh yikes, don't word it like that, that sounds inconsiderate.

Raccoonsun can't help but be a bit confused.
She knows it's been a while since the last leader swap, but it doesn't feel like it.
It really isn't her place to say anything, she hasn't been a part of this clan for nearly as long as some of these cats, but like... isn't that StarClan group supposed to like... prevent this from happening so much?

Maybe that's a childish ideology.
She doesn't know enough about it to make an opinion.

This is bad.
StarClan, how much more death do they have to endure?

Cascadingrapids keeps her distance, paying respects from afar.
She feels she did not know Stormstar nearly enough to be as close as some of the others.

Her brother doesn't look like he's doing the best, though.
She may need to check on him later.

Oh, this was bad. Great StarClan, this was bad. Stormstar was dead. Dead in the middle of the clearing. The leader who had established RiverClan and brought a new meaning to it was lying dead in the middle of camp.

Starlingswoop watched as Berryshine announced that Stormstar was gone, as Cobwebfern had a meltdown, as Owltalon arrived and started demanding answers from Seabreeze, as she announced the cause of Stormstar's death.

Coyote.

A starsdamned coyote had killed the RiverClan Leader, taking both of her lives. Starlingswoop's maw fell into a scowl of disgust and disdain for the beast. Stormstar hadn't deserved to go out like that, and the warrior was sure that her leader hadn't planned on it, either.

With a wave of her feathery tail, the chocolate marbled tabby stepped forward to touch her nose to Stormstar's ear for a brief second. ´´I'm sorry to see you go, Stormstar, and I wish that I could have gotten to know you,´´ Starlingswoop murmured quietly before giving Cobwebfern a nod and stepping away from the body.

Snowkit looked stormstar body, she didn’t her know her too well, but still felt wrong and sad seeing her leader dead in front of her. Snowkit prayed to starclan , that guided their leader to starclan.

Startled slightly at Owltalon’s reaction, but still understanding, the bengal dipped his head respectfully. ”I know…but I know we all wish we could have been there. It’s all in StarClan’s plan.” He murmured to the she-cat, gently head butting her shoulder to further express his support.

When Owltalon mentioned going to the border to check where Stormstar had…met her fate, Brokenstream nodded solemnly. ”Of course. You let me know when you’re ready.” He had the thought to suggest the scarred warrior sit this one out, but he knew it would be futile. Besides, it was important to make sure the territory was clear…and he had a feeling she wouldn’t believe it until she saw it for herself. The Lionheart certainly felt that way, anyways.

Ah…Sedgeflake. So many losses, too quickly after the other…”Would you like me to handle that? You’re not alone- the team is here to help you.” His gaze with sympathetic. ”Just say that word. We’ve got your back.”

While he awaited her response, the tom took a few steps forward to his former leader’s body, gently pressing his nose into her fur and closing his eyes. ”Thank you, Stormstar, for trusting me to help RiverClan. I’ll make sure Berryshine and Cobwebfern are taken care of like my own siblings…and RiverClan like my own kin. We will be safe under Owltalon.” He murmured quietly, choking on his words slightly before he straightened up and gently touched the medicine cat apprentice’s shoulder with his tail. ”Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help- any time.” He mewed before stepping back again to stand next to Owltalon, gaze low to hide his grief.

HookPaw leaped in front of MorningPaw, "BOO!" He yipped, a rather poor attempt to scare MorningPaw...
"Hah! Look at your face! You were scared, weren't you? I scared you didn't I?" HookPaw chirped with a fit of laughter,
"Even if I didn'ttt... Well--I bet I did! But anyways.. We should take a walk or something." HookPaw slid swiftly over to face MorningPaw, a smug expression etched onto his features.
"It's reallyyyy stuffed in the camp right now! Plus it's really boring." The dark-gray Tom paused. "Soooo.. Whaddya say?" HookPaw stood still for once, awaiting a response.[/CENTER]

Morningpaw jumped as Hookpaw attempted to scare her. Go away! She hissed, narrowing her eyes. She still hadn't gotten over Stormstar. She wasn't sure anyone had.

"Awww.. Cmon MorningPaw! Lighten up a bit!" HookPaw nudged her playfully, a light-hearted gleam in his green eyes.
"There's so much more to do than just mope around in Camp all day! Cmoooonnnn...!!!" HookPaw insisted with a pestering whine, staring at MorningPaw with a pleading look, his eyes big and wide, begging her as if he was a kit wanting a Badger-ride.

Wishing to join in on the mourning, the warrior step forward, his eyes lowered, along with his ears. He looked at the others as they greif. Stormstar was a good leader, even if Nightweb didn't get the best interaction with Stormstar. Nightweb sat farther away, his eyes pinned towards the ground.

The tom's blue-grey pelt refrained from moving, sitting still in his original spot. He wasn't sitting at the edge this time, but he wasn't moving any closer. 'There are already too many cats crowding the leader's body. The other cats deserve to be closer anyway...' Songwave thought to himself, regretfully. He furrowed his brows and quietly moved to crouch down, paying his respects from a distance.

The warrior cared for every cat in his clan, he'd never want any to leave so soon and Stormstar was no different. He had done everything right, been a loyal warrior for them, looked after the clan too, but he couldn't help but feel loss. Not only for what their relationship hadn't been, but for what he couldn't be. Songwave never connected with them, always left it to others. His clanmates always showed how much they cared for Stormstar with actions, words or gifts, but his care was silent. To himself, he knew it was a given, and he hoped Stormstar knew that too. But if he were to get any closer now, he would surely be pushed back by his own clanmates. It would hurt, but it was fair, they would never know how much he cared. So he chose to save them all the trouble and stay where he was for now.

Songwave's mind wandered from Stormstar to Almondchatter. He tried to keep focused, but his reflection inwards only led him to worry for his mate, his love. Did she know how much he cared for her? Had he done enough to show her? What if he never got the chance again? He wondered if he could do more for her.
