Ashfeather's tiny ears perked up. "Oh, really?" she asked, genuinely impressed. Then she flinched as he mentioned his dead father. "Oh... I-I'm sorry to hear that," she murmured. Yep, always going back to the topic. "Well, er... my mother and father are in StarClan, too." She tilted her head upward. It was sunny at the moment, but the sky was still up there. She did think that they deserved their place up there.

Ashfeather's eyes widened in surprise. She and Flameclaw had a lot more in common then they thought. But she still felt bad for him. "I-I'm sorry that that happened to you," she meowed. "And... my parents didn't like me, either. My only sibling... wasn't even born... it's complicated." At the mention of a friend, she blinked. "Who?" she asked curiously.
