Rosebriar grinned. "Almost perfect, but don't forget to lower your tail a bit more!" she instructed, proud of her apprentice. "You want your tail to guide you and balance you."

She was... Bored. Out everything that be could happening, Hailpaw was bored. Great. She could be much more productive right now, like going out training and working on her battle and hunting skills, or even clean some nests but, no. Instead she was sitting in the clearing doing nothing. Rather discouraged, the apprentice sigh and started to look round. It was unlikely, but maybe she could find something to do or.. Anything, actually. Yet as it seemed, that 'anything' turned to surprise, thoughts and many other feelings that rushed to her as her gaze fell upon one specific cat.

Was she imagining things? Was she wrong? She must be-- but then again, they'd have to be literal clones of one another for that to be true. It was a real cat too. A strange feeling she couldn't quite describe, nor wanted to describe, enveloped her as the thought struck her. From her position, she hesitated, but still got up and slowly made her way up to the cat. Yes, there was no denying, it was her. "Weaselskip..?" she asked, glancing up to the familiar molly. There were.. A lot of questions she wanted to ask, and even things she wanted to do. Like hug her, and for some reason scold her, as Hailpaw had truthfully been worried about her, and missed her. But she had to keep it together, it might only be a bother to the other after all. "where were you? --and are alright?" She asked, flicking her tail out of pure habit and truthfully something she always did when wanting a honest and clear answer. She wanted to know.

"you left so suddenly.. Did you get lost? Or caught maybe? I suppose it hasn't been to long but-- but still." As much as she wouldn't want to have shown it, her voice wavered just slightly somewhere between her words. And despite at that point still thinking Weaselskip hadn't left intentionally, there was a faint hint of anger she couldn't suppress either to the end of her words. as stated before, she had just been.. Worried, really, and the thought of the older molly leaving her suddenly just like her mother had done did cross her mind now and then. Even if her mother may not have chosen to. Quite frankly, she had no idea what happened to her, either of them, one day they just.. Disappeared.

Hailpaw stopped in the middle of her not at all needed grooming to find none other than Basilpaw. Her. For some reason the apprentice had never been extremely fond of the other, which was strange considering nothing had never really happened between them.. And unpolite as well. But it was as it was and it didn't mean that couldn't change, nor that Hailpaw couldn't be nice or at least polite towards her "oh- Hi Basilpaw, how have you been?" she asked, putting on a friendly face as she flicked her tail as an invitation for the other to settle down. Maybe they could strike up a friendly conversation, still? They didn't know to each other to well anyway. Or at least, Hailpaw didn't know Basilpaw to well aside from the obvious.

I’ve passed my final assessment, just waiting for Twilightstar to make me a warrior.” she purred unsure of what else to say, she didn’t want to sound like she was bragging so she smiled,” You’ll become a warrior soon too” she added.

"congratulations" Hailpaw mew, wrapping her tail around her paws- something she always did to feel more protected or in uncomfortable situations. The apprentice tilted her head slightly for a short moment, to her an equivilant to shrugging, as Basilpaw added the second part "maybe, there was a small delay. I mean my mentor had gone missing, then my new mentor became medicine cat apprentice before we could even start training, and now I got my old mentor back-- I guess you could nearly call it as complicated as my name changes" Hailpaw commented, slightly rolling her eyes on the name part. It did make her wonder: would she get her old prefix back once she got her warrior name? Maybe. She quite liked "Hail" to be quite honest, but would still be delighted with "Silver". But that aside, "what do you think your warrior name will be?"

Did this kit want to get tossed out of WindClan? Such insolence, she wanted to tell him to go away. It was like deal with Bushpaw all over again.
"If you were there you would have come up with the other apprentices. You were not there, liar." The leader growled in warning. "I didn't see you with the gathered cats." She wouldn't be shocked if he had overslept in the nursery. "Regardless, your attitude shows me that you're not yet ready to become an apprentice. Not with the way you speak to your clan leader. You can stay an extra moon in the nursery."

So Twiglight didn't want him to clean her fur? Okay.. but he couldn't help but feel somewhat discouraged. He wanted to help her out! Be helpful, at least a tiny bit. He could do that, couldn't he? Maybe not. At Twig's grumpy look he did reach out and pat her head again. She was being grumpy because her head hurt right? Totally not because he was pushing buttons, totally not. Stagpaw wasn't doing anything that could earn him a smack over the head again. Yet as Twiglight shifted, he did so too, curling up into her side next to her. Despite how comfortable his nest back in the apprentice den was - it wasn't exactly comfortable at all - he liked snuggles with Twiglight. So she wanted him to nap? He would nap with her. COLLABORATIVELY SLEEPING! That sounded good somehow. They just needed Mushy in here but... he wanted some time with Twig on his own too! He somehow rarely got that anymore... because either they were training or he didn't see her at all. "Nap time yes!" And with that he made him comfortable against her too, resting his head on her shoulder with a soft purr. Twiglight was still soft and fluffy. Yet when she questioned on him talking too much he shook his head. "No! I don't talk too much. I just... there is a lot of things that needs to be said! And mushy won't listen to me! He'll just... throw stones after me." Or at least, that was what Stagpaw assumed would happen did he go out and start blabbering to the warrior with no actual purpose other than blabbering. Drawing in a deep breath though he closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep for once. Maybe Twiggy would wake him up if something interesting happened? He could only hope so.

She was going to bite his paw one of these days. He kept patting her head as if she were a kitten who needed consulting, it was rude and infuriating. Her head was going to explode one of these days and it would be all his fault. She breathes out loudly as he continues talking. If only she were deaf, she would give up all other sounds just to not hear Parasite's voice it was that bad.
She asked, yawning without lifting her head. The fur on her shoulders twitches when she heard about Mushy and the stone-throwing. She was going to have to talk to him...again. She was the only one allowed to throw stones at Parasite, Mushy should know that already. The she-cat waits a few seconds until she hears the soft breaths and sees the slow rise and fall of his chest before she allows herself to drift off curled protectively around her leech.
