"Helloo!" Sootfur peeked inside the apprentices' den, searching for the familiar fawn furred-tom. As he spotted him, he continued: "First training day! Have something at the fresh-kill pile, then join me at the camp entrance. We're going to trek all around Thunderclan's territory and see the borders."
With a wave of his tail, he left the den and headed for the camp entrance. Today it would be a good day, he knew it. And Sandpaw - the tom would surely be enthusiast when he'd see how beautiful the forest was in new-leaf! He couldn't wait to bring his apprentice to Wisteria falls and see the flowers hanging on the waterfall. Unfortunately, today's task would be a little bit more tedious.
Thunderclan's new deputy was... Bumblebreak! The Keeper had earned her place as Thrushstar successor, it seemed. Sootfur didn't know much about her, but she trusted that cat and knew what a fine deputy she would make. "Bumblebreak, Bumblebreak!" He cheered along with the rest of his clan, excitement in his powerful, deep voice.
At that moment, he noticed Sandpaw shrinking beside him. Was that his mom? Oh, but it's Sorreldust! Sootfur left for a moment Flameheart's side and joined the queen with her newly apprenticed-kits.
He dipped her head to the older warrior and offered a warm, friendly smile before speaking. "Hello, Sorreldust. I promise I'll take care of Sandpaw; and I'm sure he'll make a fine warrior in no time." He was genuinely praising the fawn Somali tomcat; not because he had had the opportunity to catch some hint of a particular talent, but because he had faith in him and his words.
Sootfur couldn't quite grasp what was happening right now to Sandpaw - was he trying to hide from the meeting? His own ceremony had just ended, so there wasn't any reason to worry anymore, was there? "Oh, and congratulations for Russetpaw, too." He added, before approaching directly her brother.
He lowered his head and whispered to his apprentice: "Hey, I'm sure you'll be fine. Let's make a deal, shall we? I'll take you out very soon to explore Thunderclan and try some apprentices' stuff, and if you don't like it, you can go and ask Thrushstar to wait a little bit more." He was quite certain that the leader wouldn't be glad to receive such news, but Thrushstar was sensible. Nevertheless, Sootfur had faith in Sandpaw and knew he would soon get used to his new way of life.
"And remember..." He kept his voice low, soothing, and blinked at him. "Russetpaw is always with you. You can also train together if you ask her mentor."
After staring at the small brown cat, he raised his muzzle again and took a deep breath. He figured now that the family needed some time alone, so he turned around to walk away and return to Flameheart and Honeypaw.
Mistystream attempts to stand, and the she-cat actually manages the feat. She loks at Sundust before turning so that her shoulder faces them. Her breathing is even, but she feels as if she is going to collapse.
Carefully, Sundust began cleaning Mistystream's wounds. Thankfully they weren't as severe as Dragonflyash's, but they still certainly weren't a laughing matter. Once the scratches were clean, Sundust applied cobwebs to them. "There, that should hold fine. Now, you and Dragonflyash both rest - let me know if you need a poppy seed. Otherwise, you should be fine as long as the wound doesn't get infected."
Once the patrol had returned from their hunt, Oriolepaw went straight to Sundust. He hoped the medicine cat wouldn't chastise him for getting injured by prey again, but he had to see the sense in what Oriolepaw was doing. Right?
Padding into the den, he called for him. "Sundust? I got injured by a mink while hunting. I've got gashes on my chest, a scratch on my left leg, and a pretty deep bite on one of my front left toes." He figured getting to the point would be best; perhaps it would distract Sundust from the "mink" part of that explanation.
Well, it was always refreshing to have a patient who could give a thorough assessment of their injuries; many just plopped themselves down into a nest and waited for Sundust to diagnose them at a glance. Of course he would always check over his patients, but it was helpful to make sure he didn't miss anything.
Oriolepaw's story itself was fairly interesting - Sundust didn't hear a lot about minks apart from the fact that they roamed the territory. It seemed this may be proof as to why cats seemed to prefer hunting squirrels over minks. "Cinderpaw? Why don't you come watch - if Oriolepaw is okay with that, of course. I'll explain what I'm doing and why." As the medicine cat waited for the two apprentices' responses, he went and began selecting the herbs he would need from the herb store.
She slowly walked into camp, knowing her adventures were over, her sister it seems had went missing and she had needed to return to look for her, she only hopes that they would let her back into the clan after she had ran away to explore other places.

Bumblebreak paused at the mouth of the den. A bundle of moss and ferns was firmly clamped between her teeth, as well as some sort of purple plant that smelled nice. The latter was an offering for Thrushstar—if she was going to be invading his space she might as well get him something. She wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea of sharing a single den with a single cat she didn't know on a personal level, but solidarity was important, right? Teamwork or whatever.
A fuzzy ball of black and yellow landed on the tip of her nose and she crossed her eyes to arch her eyebrows at it. She'd never admit it, but she was glad to see a bumblebee again. "You cannot come in here," she mumbled sternly around the stuff in her mouth.
The bee buzzed its wings in a way that Bumblebreak genuinely thought was indignant and then floated back into the air. She rolled her eyes before sticking her head into the den. "Yo, Thrushfur," she called. "You mind if I set up in here? You know... deputy, 'n all."
Moon above, that felt so weird to say.

Yeah so this account is dead will prob never come back but my sister @SqurrelTail might be active at SoMePoiNt sometime so yeah. I'm pretty sure no body even cares abt this lmao.

It was easy for Cinderpaw to busy herself with odd jobs for now, since she didn't exactly know much in the way of herbs - for now, she found herself sorting them into neat (as neat as her huge paws could get them, that is) near the back of the den. That was, until the metallic tang of blood hit her nose. It really shouldn't have surprised the apprentice, being in the medicine den and all, but it was strong enough to make her whip her head around.
She floated towards the two before Sundust had even called, resisting the want to investigate Oriolepaw for any unnoticed wounds in concern. What were these kids doing, getting chewed up by minks...
"H'okay." Cinderpaw agreed uncharacteristically quietly, antsy to do anything but knowing she sure as hell couldn't get in the way of Sundust's work. The apprentice watched, alarm in her eyes as her mentor went to go fetch the right herbs, before shaking her head and directing her attention to Oriolepaw. She nodded the black and ginger tom towards an open nest. "C'mon, sit."
Sorreldust watched her children interact with their Mentors, and didn't miss the way Sandpaw seemed uncomfortable. She gave an affectionate lick to Russetpaw's head before she settle in to sit beside Sandpaw, pressing her side to him as he leaned into her.
She leaned forward to press her nose to his cheek and gave him an affectionate half grooming lick to comfort him. "Do you want to tell me what's wrong, my silken sun? This behavior is unlike you. You're not in trouble, I'm simple concerned."
She used the cheers of their clanmates as they congratulated the new deputy- Bumblebreak?- to gently question her son, no accusation, only concern in her tone.
She took a moment to wrap her tail around him and gently squeezed him.
She looked up as Sootfur approached and returned his head dip, chirping softly at him. "I trust you to take care of him. I know you're a good warrior and have much to teach him."
She lowered her voice further. "If it's alright with you, I would like to be able to ask about his progress in the future. If not, that's perfectly alright."
He was one of few cats she would trust enough to even preemptively ask for permission to question after her child, and fewer still to not mind being left out of the loop for. She'd have to ask Thrushstar one on one about Russetpaw.
She paused as she finally heard what Sandpaw had said to her. He didn't want to be an apprentice yet.
She turned her attention back to him, tail holding him a bit tighter and pressing into his side. "Does Sootfur's plan sound good to try for now? If you want, I can ask Thrushstar of I can make special sleeping arrangements for you, but don't forget, Russetpaw will be by your side and I'm always a shout away."
Curled up within her nest, Dandelionpaw was sleeping peacefully. Soon, she'd be a warrior -- her dream would finally be fulfilled! She couldn't wait until then. Dreaming of that nearby future and all she would do, Dandelionpaw was unbothered by Vixenpaw's who had the zoomies, looking for Batblood under every nest and inside every den. Where could he be??
